I wasn't in search of this, but wandering around the pages saved by the Wayback Machine of back.archive, I found this post of mine in the request section.
Here it is again, copied and pasted from the original.
I tried to re-construct it the best I could, as it was not complete.
Thanks to Retro, Roope, Kebarvid, Krizl, ChuYinZi for providing some great rips till now.
Forgive me if I'm forgetting someone...
Here the records left in my wishlist. Looking for LOSSLESS copies.
Thanks for reading.

Sorry Greta. We seem to share the same wants from this list. The majority I have as an MP3 but no FLAC, so if you haven't got them, I reckon they haven't been shared as lossless in the past. I don't have any Studio One albums, so may go on the hunt for some as I've not heard any of them before.
Regards, Tony
-
This is all I have, unfortunately. The majority in your list are either MP3 or missing from my own catalogue. I've never even heard of, Timing-DeWolfe!
Your welcome to the few I have got, though. The Bruton one is the CD version.

Thank you very much JF!
Just a couple of clarifications:
SO 20 is a mp3
SO 08 is a fake lossless
BRA 04 is not the LP release I was looking for but the CD from 2000
also
I forgot to delete from the list MON 37 and DWLP 3063 which were shared just before the crash
but
LPSG 4004 and SO 02 just hit the target!
Thanks again, two to tick off.
-
PS
never heard of Timing-De Wolfe??
I will share some for you. Beautiful label/sub-label!!

Thanks for letting me know about SO 20 and SO 08. I've amended my own descriptors on those albums accordingly. I did have a sneaking suspicion that BRA 04 wasn't what you were looking for, but included it anyway in a, 'better to give than not', kind of way. I did think MON 37 and DWLP 3063 looked familiar, but couldn't quite place where and when. But, I'm pleased I could help with 2 titles, at least. :)

That's a fantastic news for me.
I must admit I was almost losing hopes due to the recent crash, and I was not willing to bother asking again.
Truly appreciated Retro. Thanks!!

As for this, you're right. I didn't realize that BMLP 030 was the A side of BMLP 158. I will delete BMLP 030 from my list.

Whenever you can mate. Every album on your list is a gem. I have literally waited since before the Big Bang for Blueprint, so knowing it is potentially imminent is enough to keep me and my MPC happy.

Sounds from BMLP 090
And yes, a compilation of beatmakers should be interesting
Do it yours !

Mine are crap- and I'm not being modest! We could do something though- all use the same couple of source LPs and see what we come up with. I don't mind sharing crappy beats- we're all friends here ;D
BTW- Greta, I have cleaned and ripped a load of these now so they just need editing

I gave this one an Ultrasonic clean and am very pleased with the results. Granted it's not the best record there is but so nice to have such low noise levels and quiet parts being very quiet. From now on I'm going to clean everything before I rip it and aim for the best results I can.

Thank you Retro.
Just out of curiosity, you mean you now clean physically your vinyls? I mean, you wash them or use some product before the rip process?

Let's do it!! Just like Rhythm Roulette. I have been working on an album off and on for about 15 years where I just use samples from Library LPs, so it may be the kick-up the behind I need.

Thanks a lot Retronic. :)

I bought a decent cleaner after in the past using one of those 'bath' style ones with brushes where you manually spin the record around and the brushes clear out the grooves, but I found it pushed the grime further in (dust and water = mud). I thought I'd damaged a couple of good records because they sounded worse after cleaning but it was just dirt deep in the grooves.
This new one cleans and dries and although a bit sceptical I'm happy with the results.

Oh, I see. Just what I imagined. Great! I know Rocco is doing the same with his vinyls. The results look fantastic.

Fantastic. Thank you so much Retro.
I remember that Studio One 43 was the one Andrew was after since always and I couldn't help him.
I wish he's somehow around to see this and enjoy it, since I don't hear from him since a lot already.

SO 43 - Movements
Oh! Nice lossless upgrade. Thanks, Retro.
-
Thank you very much Retro for all your help in lossless
-
Many thanks Retronic for the rips!
-
Wow! A lot of beautiful rips here. Thank you very much, Retronic.
Thank you very much for Mapuche, Baobab.
-
I'm glad Greta put me onto this thread, through looking for a couple of Brutons, as there's a heck of a lot of upgrades I would have possibly missed out on, otherwise!
Thanks to all contributors, especially Retronic!
-
Just updated my list, cause AMEN shared Bruton BRB 11 a while ago.
And while I'm at it, I bump it!
-
I cleaned this record three times to get as much of the noise as I could off of it- there are so many quiet patches it's difficult to get a great rip. Come out pretty well- with one bonus digital track to boot:
LPSG 2009 - Avant Garde Volume 2 | pixeldrain.com/u/Vp7ZkNNg
-
Today is a good day with all these fresh rips and uploads. Another great upgrade for me. Thanks for taking the time out to do this Retro !
-
Not paying attention again! This thread seemed to have passed me by. Now rectified thanks to Greta's bump! Thanks so much Retronic for your generous shares. A single press on the download button pales into insignificance compared with the time you must have spent ripping and uploading these.
-
Awesome!
Thanks a bunch Retro!!
-
Still on these- getting there slowly. These are recorded but not edited yet:

Ain't it great when that happens. Tomorrow will be a better day and it's great that on a crappy day we have the music and a place to pop to to try and elevate the spirit!
-
My goodness Retro you're spoiling us this afternoon. Thanks you so much for the shares and thanks to Greta for a brilliant wish list. And dare I say keep 'em coming....?! :)

Pure early 80's gold.
I've just realized this is part of one "Serie Oceanica" which I never heard before.
Wondering what it is...
https://www.discogs.com/it/label/1594526-Serie-Oceanica
-
Yes, I saw that. That Discogs entry looks like a fan made page at first but could be the Italian distributer via Canopo:
clubdiva.ee/Various/Sound-Stage-2-Amphonic/11755
All releases 1981 so looks short lived and may not have new covers and just stickers or something.
-
Yes, Flipper editor.
But actually the words "Serie Oceanica" are printed on the rear covers.

Yess!!!!
Thank you so much Kebarvid.
*edit*
you're wrong Kebarvid, they're 6!!
And the other three could also be better versions, who knows...
You made me happy today!
Thanks again.
-
Thanks Retronic for the marvellous upgrade this Cal 4002!
Yes, indeed! Thanks for this one, Retro. My old mp3 rip of this is dated Dec. 2006! And it's 64 kbps! Lol
-
Found one more Bruton on your list:
BRB24: pixeldrain.com/u/JRe4CqFB (not my rip, probably found on slsk)
There are also a few i'm missing that's not on your list, so perhaps you or someone else can share those?

And yes, I was about to offer you some you probably miss.
Tomorrow I'll have a look into it.

Bumping this cause I just ticked-off Peer PIL 9038 Hangover kindly shared by Retro a couple of days ago.
And I also take the opportunity to add some new records to my wishlist at the very first page of this topic. Actually, there would be quite a few more De Wolfe's I would like to add, but had no time tonight. That's a huge catalog...
Thanks in advance for watching and providing(?) whatever you might have handy.
Hasta la vista.

I definitely have the following on vinyl and if I'm going to share I'll clean the record and do a fresh rip. I'm in the mood for it today as I find the editing relaxing (unless it's one of those 100 short jingle tracks LPs) but out all day visiting relatives. Tomorrow the Christmas tree is going up and I'm hoping to squeeze in a Weekend Set. I'll do them over the coming weeks or at least dent it and no doubt we'll revisit again in the future. Decent enough? You're kidding me! These are way beyond enough. Thank you so much.
Not to be a whiner, but these days are terrible to me after the accident to my back (again!). Crawling around the house on one leg only, it seems no bed, couch or chair can give me a bit of rest.
Home from work and unable to do anything, boredom takes hold of me and the mood goes underfoot.
But these shares and the time they take me to listen to them and archive them, it's like a great medicine today, and for the days to come.
You made happy a poor old cripple person today. LOL
Thanks again.
oh, ps,
the DW Dogsbody I think is the same incomplete rip you provided the first time (9 tracks missing), that's why I didn't tick it off from the list
it's from the period when you were deleting the unwanted tracks so as not to fill up your portable player unnecessarily
not a big deal, I'll leave it there
-
I definitely have the following on vinyl and if I'm going to share I'll clean the record and do a fresh rip. Didn't read this first post, and there's no rush Retro.
My fav between the missing ones I think they're the Patchwork Orchestra 1 and Standards 142 and 144. I'd vote for those.
-
Excellent shares again, really appreciate it Retronic. :)
-
Big thanks Retronic.
-
Hey Greta. Sorry to hear about you struggling- you must get really fed up.
If the music helps in any way, that makes me happy. Just recording the Standards now.
-
Retronic, Thank you so much.
Great share
I wish you and everyone Happy holidays.
greetings

Many thanks for sharing these Retro. What with these and a8detective's mega share I'm really glad to have finally got fibre broadband installed last week in this out-of-the-way part of Normandy. Otherwise it would have taken until next Easter to download them all! Now I just need the time to sit down and audition them all.
Oh, and again, get well soon Greta. It sounds like you're in a really bad way. If it's any consolation I had an op on my shoulder on Thursday and my arm is in a sling. It means I'm having to do everything wrong-handed and dosed up with pain killers. Isn't life fun!
-
@ Retro - thanks mate, yes, the music is such a great adiuvant, in many ways.
@ nido - oh sorry to hear that, you're my companion of misfortune right now, and I know we're not alone here lately. Well, life could be downright ironic, I'd say.
-
I don't have time to edit these today so in the meantime here's unedited files:
ESL 140 - pixeldrain.com/u/ox4NzzT1
ESL 142 - pixeldrain.com/u/ZkqpSba3
-
Cool, Thanks Retro. No problem, me or anybody else who might beat me can do the edit job.
140 wasn't even on my list, thanks for the fresh rip. I never heard it before, not even in poor quality!
144 M.O.R was the one attracting me for its great vibes and rhythms.
Re-discovering the top quality of this label!
-
Oh, no worries. I can do 144 next time. Me rushing!!
-
Sure.
We got one extra for free, LOL. Good deal!
-
@ Retronic - Thanks for these additions. I didn't have any of the B&H's, and the Standards are great upgrades.
@ Greta - Sorry to hear you aren't 100% and wishing you a speedy recovery !
-
Thanks for these, Retro. Edited and tagged ESLs 140 & 142 here:
140 ==> h***s://mega.nz/file/woYjkaAb#WN1GJecVL4Ks1TAQBJjPaYaA_5MhG12SHza18yeyOSw
142 ==> h***s://mega.nz/file/A4YzEaaJ#ArvCJsU6awysB-iWj8MaHrehtHL8kD0C4yZd4DO8mxw
Do let me know if this isn't up to my usual standard only I'm doing this single-handed & left-handed with a right-handed mouse!! Unless I'm mistaken the timing for track 4 of ESL 142 recorded on Discogs is wrong. It's 5:48 rather than 4:50.
-
Thank you very much nido.
It looks all good to me, you're on your way to be a switch-hitter!
-
a BIG thank you to roope for Timing-De Wolfe TIM 10.
List updated.
