I have big news. The JW Vault version of the Steve Race track "The Dark Stairway" isn't full. The JW Media Music CD "Night at the B Movies" has the full version, so I would listen to the Night at the B Movies version, if you want the full version.

I have a theory on why The Dark Stairway is edited on the JW Vault release. They must've accidentally wiped most of the song off the master tape by pressing record instead of play, and the end result is a recreation they've made of the remains of the original track, not just an edited version. Seems like a good reason for why it's edited.

At least they didn't wipe the other songs off (if true), so that's good. I'm hoping they will learn from that mistake.

It's really weird. The new short version runs about 2% faster than the old CD version. It opens at what would be the 1'06 point in the long version, plays for about 4 seconds, then mixes back to 0'46. It then plays until the end but the section between approx. 0'59 and 1'07 is repeated. All very peculiar.

So here's something interesting that happened today, we got IA 106 to IA 110 normally (Thankfully, they didn't botch one of the tracks this time), but the Impress stuff are now separated from the JW Vault Collection library, and now Impress is it's own dedicated library. This includes IA 101 to IA 105.

Retro, are you interested in the APM versions (with doubled but remastered tracks too), or in the ones that have been shared in the past?
I mean, I have Impress IA 101 to 120 in lossless (vinyl rips), but I don't remember who was the original ripper/poster.
Haven't these been shared here on LMT before? How I got them? Help! Maybe A8?
I have to tell you, I compared the waveforms. The vinyl rips I was talking about are much better than the files available on APM.

I think I have a reason on why he hasn't been here for a while. He's busy, but not with ripping records. He's actually working on media like documentaries and tv shows. I miss him, and I hope he's doing okay.

I have seen those albums when they were released, and I thought it was weird that they would skip IA 113 to IA 153, which is almost half of the Impress 100s.
