This is my first LP rip: Plastic Popsclie, by John Fiddy And His Orchestra. I bought this LP on Discogs. I remastered what i could on Audacity. This LP was first uploaded on Zippyshare, by another user of this forum, but the file doesn´t exist anymore. Thats why i posted my rip on Mediafire.
This is the download link:

Thanks!

This is good one! but... if it's your own rip, why did you do it in lossy quality by MP3? It was no additional effort to do it lossless !
-
Yes I must agree with vslava.
Here is a better Flac copy.
But I think this is "upgraded" from a MP3 but I am not certain.
Can anyone tell me?
Thanks anyway KPM lover.

I have the WAV's of this from the original poster (Zach) which are very authentic and real. I'll look for them the weekend and post if no one else has em and posts before I do.

Thanks, this is a great Intersound title!

Once an mp3 always an mp3, a lossy file can never be upgraded!

You are wrong
I can convert mp3 into wav and then open it in NeroWaveEditor and process with the option of adding high frequences.
In some cases (depending of mp3-codec) the new wav can look like real lossless. You will see wav-like frequency range in editor and audiochecker will say it CDDA.
Dyo's upload above seems to be such 'enhanced' mp3
I ask PornLibrary to upload real lossless of this wonderful album !!!

I can rip mine and we van have a 'loss-off'

I am not wrong, adding frequency to an mp3 does NOT make it lossless! by doing so you are making a fake lossless file.
And for a start converting an mp3 to wav does not make it a true wav file, this has to be done initially at first time of rip.

Dear VSLAVA & zoomo,
Thanks for your info.
I use Sound-forge 13.
When you have a mp3 file and run it thru Sound forge en "at" some higher frequencies and than check with a spectrum analyzer.
You can see some "improvement" over 15 kHz.
This could be fake.
What do think.
But overall Wave is the best or otherwise Flac.
Greetings

Yes, it is fake. You cannot reclaim bits thrown away during the MP3 lowpass filter process. Adding high frequencies is a dirty trick and you should stop doing it today.

@vslava Hope you might apologise now quoting me earlier that I was wrong when indeed it is you that is wrong.

@vslava
Perhaps if you send a link to just one of those files that you said you added frequencies to, and it would be interesting to see what the Lossless Audio Checker reports?

Hi, just to make a point here. MP3, at least where music is concerned, is an old, dead, obsolete format. It is inferior and should not be used except for reference purposes... speech, podcasts, anything that does not require good quality. It still has a function in archiving speech recordings or ancient phonograph recordings... but ripping from LP or CD into MP3 is so last decade.
Most of us now have storage drives ten or even fifty times what was available ten years ago. Even pocket music players can take huge memory cards compared to even a few years ago. If your ripping software can only rip to MP3, well, maybe you need to buy new software! Magix Audio Cleaning Lab is great, and I have used it for many years with good results. It does take practice to use... and I never use the preset remastering functions, I always apply the settings myself.
I keep wav copies of all mastered rips and only convert to flac for my Fiio X5, to save space.
Sorry if I have ruffled feathers here but I used to listen to music in MP3 format, and having heard the difference with wav and flac, I would never go back.

Thank you all for your input.
It is WAVE or/and FLAC the only way to go in 2020.

And on the subject of Intersound... probably the best library label ever. You simply cannot have too many Intersounds! 8]

i pieced together this album from tracks found on iscd compilations, for my own amusement.
