Does anyone have a rip of this disco soundtrack performed by Bruton's in-house band: Trevor Bastow (keyboards), Paul Keogh (guitars), Les Hurdle (bass guitar), Harold Fisher (drums), Frank Ricotti (percussion)

I'd heard rumours there was a CD reissue, but I've never been able to find one - is that what you have?  Also, has the track 'Jumping The Gun' ever appeared on Bruton? It was used as the theme tune to 'Keep It In The Family' so it must have, but I've not been able to find out which LP it was on.

What a quest that was.  I went through all the libary CDs twice- there are multiple rows all stacked in front of each other then after no joy I glance up and spotted about 7 CDs on a random shelf to my left and there it was!!  Starting to think I'd imagined it.

I'm intrigued about 'Keep It in the Family', now.  The track is credited to Trevor Bastow so that helps but I think I would have spotted that if I'd heard it on a Bruton.  If it was on one it shouldn't be hard to find. Probably on a  BRG circa '79-'80.

Wow! Thanks, Retro! I appreciate all your efforts here in finding the CD :)

According to Lomax, there's only one track taken from the Bruton library, the rest of the tunes were produced specifically for the project (originally without the vocals, which were reluctantly added later, according to the story). He writes (p. 426):

"The soundtrack heard in the film included a Bruton library title—Francis Monkman's The Dawn of an Era (from BRI 4 Energism)—whereas the soundtrack album, issued on the Pye label, was devoted entirely to the Bruton Band's score…"

I remember it well!  I watched the whole fabulous cheesefest on YouTube a while ago!
