This wasn't already on my Mega account, but I got it yesterday from a friend user on slsk.
Quite a solid album by female Hycroft aka Dolores Claman.
Killa and [(Sub)] were after this label, if I recall correctly. I see why....nothing disappointing here.
Enjoy. flac

Thank you, Greta! -)

Wow, cool! Been curious about these for quite some time.
Thanks for sharing :D

Spot on 70s TV backgrounds. Thanks, Greta!

Thank you very much indeed, Greta! :-)
I doubt though that this is from 1970, it sounds more like 1975+, don't you think? The Discogs page for Canadisc doesn't exactly fill one with confidence with regards to the accuracy of the data, which is admittedly a common problem with library music.

Great share, thanks again Greta. :)

Wonderful! It's such a brilliant album and my first Canadisc.
Thank you very much, Greta, for introducing me to this label. Super appreciated.

Agreed. From the only allegedly 1970 release with clear, readable photos, you can see the release is undated.

Well, yes, it sounds more middle 70's actually.
Just took the date from discogs for a complete info set.
Good it gave the chance to discuss about it, at least.
;)

Wow thanks! it is so rare to see these. Seems like I seen some other rare Canadian libs with her on them called InterWestern production music or something like that.
-
I never even saw one of these right here in Canada...very 70's..and quite nice indeed...much appreciated Greta...Thank you!

Most likely, album #1 was from 1970.
This one is #8.

Oops, forgot to say thanks. :)
Canadian non-pop music is a sideline of mine. And to find Canadian media (esp. pre-1978), sometimes you have a better chance looking outside Canada.

Any chance for a fresh link please?

Here you go, thanks Greta for the original share.

Greta, thanks for this.
Dolores Claman and her husband had a little second storey office in an old brick building downtown (it's not the address listed on this disc) where she sold production music she had composed under various aliases (she told me she wanted to make it appear she had a large staff of composers). The radio station where I was Production Manager bought one of the libraries in 1979. I don't remember when the recordings were actually made.
The discs were very brittle and I think all of them cracked.
"Hycroft," by the way, is the name of an old mansion in the Shaughnessy district of Vancouver.
