Title: [Master Plus] ‎- 38019 - Scenes From Ethnic Life

I was was happy to finally find a cheap copy of this one. I've been very obsessed about this album for long, because of the rare Dominique André tracks. I'm sure anyone who has heard his masterpiece Evasion can relate! It was quite worth the wait as there are a few very good weird and a bit krauty tracks by him. Also there's a Yan Tregger (as T. Scotto) track and a couple of other fine tracks like the hypnotic repetitive exotica piece Thailand Palm by Paul Bonneau (as A. Windus). For some reason the cover claims in every turn that this is a "Real document with original players". Well I think everyone can agree many of these players are original! There are a few random folk tracks though, that make the whole a bit weak. Anyway, it's a weird one and especially interesting for the fans of Dominique André. Enjoy!

I really like these ethnic life's scenes Roope...not weird to my ears at all...or maybe it's my ears that have been exposed to all types of weirdness...who knows...

What a record! A music lover's delight, and to have more pieces from the wonderful Dominque Andre is great beyond words. Thank you, roope, for this wonderful share!

For those who haven't heard it yet, here's my thread for Andre's Evasion (also released on this same label as Strange Scenes, Journeys and Countries, Master Plus ‎38014), probably my favorite library album ever; a masterpiece. I"ll listen with an open mind (and open ears), eager to learn if the music passes my own ethnic-litmus test. Or even if any of my music is included within these grooves, haha.
