Generally, the French labels have mostly left me feeling meh. It's hit and miss, but only in my opinion.

Otoh, for some of the smaller, less well-known labels (such as Freesound, Hibou, Homere, L'Illustration Musicale / Musax, MPI / PSI, etc.) I think I could be persuaded to jump out of windows or wrestle giant crocodiles for a clean, lossless copy. I don't think I've ever heard a "bad" recording from these (and other labels, to be sure).

It makes my day when I find the rare-r Library label rips available, such as today, with Freesound. Everyday @ LMT is like hunting for buried treasure and one never knows what they'll find. But whatever recordings they DO find, it's guaranteed to be golden.
