Title: [Missing Track] 1983, 1984 and 1986 NBA Films
Post by: JMTeixeira on December 10, 2018, 04:47:51 PM
Iīd thought I might approach this one individually, as I think it has been located as probably being from Francis Monkman, thus, most likely a Bruton composition. Iīve also received feedback that this track is from 1984, although it first used in the 1983 NBA Philadelphia Sixers film. However, if this film was produced and edited in 1984 this would make sense.

But hereīs the tricky part: none of the Monkmanīs albums, available online or in discontinued Bruton editions that Iīve been able to get, has this song, and neither the early 80īs works from either Curved Air or Sky.

Hereīs hoping someone has heard it before somewhere or coincides in the fact that the instrumentation (mostly the keyboards and electric guitar) is quite similar to Monkmanīs works. It just so happens that this one seems to have vanished or was not recorded as part of any library album. Huge mystery so far.

Well, Iīve received notice that this might be a composition by Keith Emerson (solo, without ELP) or Sky or Curved Air - as Monkman apparently intervened in this one. Still unknown, though.

Hi guys.

Something or anything on this one? Can't add any other feedback aside from the info received from other members and YT users and already previously shared. Also, it appears that neither Soundhound nor Shazam recognize it.

Please donīt hold back on chiming in with anything.

Thank you!

Hi everyone, had this post abandoned for quite bit, just wanted to confirm if anyone has ever heard this theme eventually or, on a more remote possibility, could help identify it. Sounds it was recorded live.

Thank you.
