[Music Scene] - MSE 119 - The Ezy Minus Group - Sounds and Colours (flac)

About time to take this one out of the shadow...Enjoy everyone!
(Sorry for the little skip at the end of "Machinations"...couldn't find a way to tidy it up properly)

Great House, what a wonderful share!
Beyond the rarity of an enchanting gem, I enjoy the sounds a lot. The moog does an outstanding job throughout the record.
I had a lot of fun with this album tonight.
Thank you so much!

Thanks! I think I enjoyed "Relaxation" the most.

I liked that one a lot too, along with the fun title track and closer "Machinations".  :D

Wow, what a treasure! Great songs by Fabio Borgazzi, sturdy electronics, what a golden filler in MSE catalogue! I didn't know of this one before, thanks for sharing!

Yes, I agree, it's a treasure. I finally have some spare time this morning to have a proper listen.
My first pic here would be "Sweet Obsession", cause for some strange reason I'm attracted by obsessive and repetitive rhythms lately.
But "Relaxation" and "Machinations" also stand out. Overall, a real solid record. Thanks again for sharing this beauty House.

ps  even if uncredited, Borgazzi's hand is clearly perceivable here

Thanks very much House, for more Music Scene. I simply can't get enough of these Italian labels.

I've just downloaded and begun to examine the tracks but now I'm confused.

Discogs credits Fabio Borgazzi as a composer, but his name isn't on any of the scans you included.

It had occurred to me that he's a composer, or THE composer, using an alias, but even then, his pseudonym isn't mentioned.

I'm not yet able to recognize his style when I hear the music, so how does a listener recognize what he composed if his credits aren't recorded within the covers or label scans?

Thanks for anybody taking the time to read these questions and respond.

These rips, the scans, etc. You've outdone yourself once again, House. Thanks so much for these audio goodies!  :)

Muff, we have a tremendous tool available for these things. It's the italian site of the society for authors and publishers (SIAE), which is freely examinable.
There you can find every original composer and the publisher for each track published in Italy.
For this record, the listed original composers are Enzo Minuti, Fabio Borgazzi and Giorgio Giuseppe Lecardi (Dodias), depending on the tracks. Publisher, Minstrel Edizioni Musicali di Borgazzi (!!!) Maria Grazia SAS.

Someone checked each track of this album with the SIAE Database and then added the missing credits to Discogs. (In this case it was hope2, but most of the time it is Mr!).

You can double check the credits for yourself. Go to the SIAE Database (h++ps://www.siae.it/en/archivioOpere). Under "Repertorio" select Musica. Under "Filtra per" type in the name of a track, such as "Stone Dike," where it says "Inserisci." Prove you are not a robot. And then you will see this:

Borgazzi is registered as a composer even though he does not receive credit on the album.

It is also a useful tool for finding out aliases. "Dodias" is credited on the album. Here you can see that is Giorgio Lecardi.

And in this case you can also see that the original title was "Sassi Levigati" (the title of the track on the Music Scene MS7)

What a great tool, thanks for the tip! And it's great to see that Maria Borgazzi owned Minstrel! Not surprised though!

You know, I'd missed the responses to my earlier question re: databases, aliases, etc. Even though I didn't reply in a timely manner, I read the response recently and i wanted to thank both Greta and Detective for sharing their helpful suggestions.

Thanks for the info re: SIAE  :)
