Had a bit of an upgrade/ re-ripping session at the weekend and some De Wolfes got the FLAC treatment. You've heard all these before but they might sound a bit nicer on the ears.

Another great Nick Bantock cover and a great LP from Gordon Grant.
Used in The Sweeney and in 'Prisoner Cell Block H' it's great small scale TV drama cues; bass and drums heavy.

Some of my fav.
Thank you 3 times Retro
-
You’re welcome. Will post a few more tomorrow ;-)
-
Thank you Retro. All three are really great upgrades for me.
I must say De Wolfe covers are the ones that more of every one else remind me to my first steps in this world. "must" classics, and back graphics too.
-
Thanks a lot! Been wanting to check that Stretch LP for quite a while. The Arvay one is also new to me, and it seems super interesting.
-
Right on, Retro! (http://www.zappateers.com/bb/images/smiles/righton.gif)
I'm with Greta here -- De Wolfe (and KPM) are the sparks that started it all for me.

This brings back painful memories. I was given this chance to step into the world of library much earlier, but I didn't take it. When I was 20 I found a full of box of 60-70's De Wolfe LPs from a fleamarket. I was curious what they were and bought maybe 6 with tempting covers. I remember I picked Atomic Butterfly, but none of the rest. At home they didn't work for me, as I was mostly after experimental and psychedelic music. So I took all of them to a record shop, where the guy told me that some of these could be valuable (this was early 2000's, so the fact wasn't so well known yet). He took maybe one or two and gave me little credit. The rest I took in my rehearsal space and... scratched them all over to make loops for experimental music. Now I just wish I could go back time and check the full box through and see what it included, and buy much more and not destroy anything. :'(

Thanks, Retronic! Very nice Arvay upgrade.
-
Oh God, roope, I'm feeling that pain. I found tons of Boosey & Hawkes for £2.50 a pop and did buy loads but I had little money and left loads too. I was picking up drama/ suspense stuff at the time and don't wanna think about the SBH 3052 I probably left sitting there! They all had a green sticker on the spine which you might have seen on my pics at some point so I'd easily spot it...
Not complaining though- I've had a few good hauls over the years. All of these DWSLPs were from a 800 LP haul and I think I had the vast majority of De Wolfes after 3300.
-
Beautiful, appreciate it Retronic. :)
-
very nice upgrades thanks retro
-
Thank you, Retronic!
The first 2 were upgrades from horrible mp3 copies. Stretch is one I never had, but had long hoped for.
-
Hey Retro, I can't open these rar files :( Is there something new here?
-
Stack, the zip files probably got corrupted during the download.
If you're on Mac I suggest you to download a decompressor called Keka (free).
Otherwise try to download them again.
-
Thanks so much for these Retro, particularly "Dangerous Connections" :)
(and thanks Greta for the Keka tip, the extraction worked fine once I got that).

Keka worked! Thanks for the tip, Greta. :)

Thanks Retro, the Pierre Arvay especially!

Thank you for all of these. Especially like New Shapes of Sound
-
I thought the Hive of Industry B-side would be more you, Doug.
-
Just realised not put that one up yet...
-
Thanks for the upgrades, Retro.
On Rubber Riff, I agree with you about "Crunch". My standout from this LP was always the laid back afternoon TV vibe of "Melina"
-
Beautiful shares, thanks again Retronic. :)
-
Wonderful, thank you!

Then maybe I should grab that one. :o

All great upgrades for me as well! Thank you Retro!

Also like Pierre Arvay's "On Larky Wall" from Cradle of Time

-
Thanks a lot Retronic, wonderful share once again !
-
Fantastic! Thanks a lot for the Metal Sunrise upgrade, in particular.
-
Rubber Riff and New Shapes of Sound are both new to me.
Cradle of time is a huge upgrade from 128.
Thanks very much Retronic!
-
Dying to hear Stretch (3327) in lossless (and curious about the others as well). May I please get a re-up? Thanks in advance to Retro for the great work!

Here's "Stretch" (https://www91.zippyshare.com/v/5bua2lLI/file.html). Parts of my De Wolfe folder is a bit of a mess, but I'm 99,999999 % certain this is Retro's rip and upload from this very thread.
Does anyone happen to have "Cradle Of Time" available and could re-up? I only have that OGG version (although from the masters) that I shared a while back but would love to hear it in its full analogue glory!
-
Thanks so much, eric!! Looking forward to hearing this cool record in lossless. 8]
