The following listing has been compiled from high-res photos I've found of vinyl labels and non-generic sleeves in this series, mostly from eBay listings and flickr user onlinepharmacy. I originally took a look at the vinyl labels and thought "well, what info is there here?"; in many cases, the vinyl releases have no information on writer/year, etc. Most reels also don't have a listed title. In the list, I've added what information was present on the vinyl or reel-to-reel tape box.
Quickly explained:
Reel number A-side/Reel Number B-side
Catalogue number A-side/Catalogue number B-side (not present on all releases)
(Composer) (not present on all releases.) (This information could, however, be added from a catalogue, or elaborated from the track number letters.)
Publisher (not present on all releases)
Track numbers A-side/Track numbers B-side (Letter prefix-Number)
Ex.:
Reel M-61/Reel M-62
UB-2613/UB-2614
(Ib Glindemann)
Beachwood Music BMI
GM-227 to GM-232/GM-233 to GM-238
Oh, and a quick note on the letter suffixes; Here, the release number with suffixes tends to appear as
1-AA-124
2-AA-124A
3-AA-124B
etc. Note how the A track appears after the initial 124 track, and as a separate track. "AA-124 to AA-124B" in other words means 124, 124A, 124B.

Apparently, according to classicthemes.com, Alexander Laszlo also had cues under the "SM" prefix, but can't confirm this.

A cool, recent find:
These were manufactured through Capitol Custom (something which is also labelled on earlier, "Capitol Library Services"-era entries in the catalogue), whose catalogue no. system can be used to decipher the original release dates.
As seen in the list above, each lettering in the catalogue numbers corresponds to a year, from "FB" (1956) all the way to "ZB" (1970/-71).
- Reel M-61/Reel M-62, for instance, has "UB", indicating a release year of 1966.
1956 = FB-

Found this on eBay from someone selling a bunch of them. It’s M-157, from the song list, it’s the same as MMSE-27 “Primetime” from Media Music: The Professional. And to be honest I thought this would’ve been in the X category. ::)

I wonder if anyone knows the contents or composers of D-67 thru D-90. Production Music Wiki doesn't have pages for anything within that range, plus they're not on Soulseek either. There are a couple other stray D reels without any info or audio available, but that particular section's a pretty big gap.

The D series goes to D-65/D66 and the next page is D89/D90, so I can help with that one.
Thanks, much appreciated! Is there a reason they skipped all the way to 89/90 for the next reel instead of continuing directly to 67/68?

Perhaps those were particular albums were discontinued at the time.
I know the S Series (short tracks) were removed and merged in their respective genre letters.

Most of the Bluestone/Cadkin material from the D series is present on CPM Music albums. It’s reasonable to assume that D-20’s cues are scattered somewhere in CAS 001, 006, 014, or 027.
D-31/D-32 each have a single cue that's on the Night of the Living Dead soundtrack.
The D-46 folder on Soulseek is actually D-9/D-10, so this one hasn't surfaced yet.
D-51/D-52 - Okay, there are possibly 2 different versions here. Production Music Wiki lists the year as 1958 which the HB code would imply, though stackjackson reported that the content on their copy has cues from Sam Fox's SF 1019, released in 1968. If there is a 1958 version, all we know is its corresponding catalog number for now (HB-2251/HB-2252). The 1968 release is the Raumpatrouille soundtrack, albeit in mono and missing more than half of its content.
D-53/D-54 - While this reel is available, all we know are the track titles and composer (William Loose). The catalog number, year, and cue IDs are unknown. All I can tell is that the IDs should start with TC since some of the cues are related to those on D-55/D-56, also composed by Loose. Any additional info is appreciated. Interestingly, an index in my Hi-Q catalog book shows 53/54 in the “War” sub-section of the “Drama” category, but none of the compositions really mesh with that vibe. Could there be another edition of this reel?
There’s practically no information on anything between D-67 and D-88. I’d hazard a guess that they were discontinued quite early on. D-71 thru 76 and 79/80 were apparently part of a lot sold on eBay several years ago, but that’s all that has surfaced concerning the titles in this range. https://www.rootsvinylguide.com/ebay_items/lot-of-45-capitol-library-hi-q-production-music-vinyl-lp-records-hi-q-vintage (https://www.rootsvinylguide.com/ebay_items/lot-of-45-capitol-library-hi-q-production-music-vinyl-lp-records-hi-q-vintage)
D-89/D-90 - Names, composers, and IDs are available, but the actual audio hasn't surfaced yet.
D-91/D-92 - Track 1 and 4 thru 11 are on Media Music MEM-10, which can be found on Soulseek.
D-115/D-116 has a page on the National Museum of American History's site. It has a catalog number of JB-2814/JB-2813, indicating a 1959 release. Any other information is currently unknown.
https://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/nmah_669142 (https://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/nmah_669142)
S-11 - There are 2 cues on the Night of the Living Dead soundtrack, though they're indexed as a single track to match their use in the film.
S-13/S-14 - 7 of the 40 cues are present on the Night of the Living Dead soundtrack.
This should be the best place to mention it, but there are 3 cues in NOTLD that are presumably from the Hi-Q library, but with additional electronic effects applied. These are Attacked, Dead Connection/Corpse on the Stairs/Ben Arrives, and Bonfire. The true title for Attacked isn't known since the piece wasn't even listed on the film's cue sheet. The other 2 tracks primarily consist of identifiable cues (Weird Eerie ZR-87C from D-32 and Eerie Heavy Echo L-1216 from D-24 respectively) along with the effects. What cues they were originally is probably lost to time unless more Hi-Q reels surface. Any S or X reels with ‘dramatic’ cues could be the source. It might even be one of the undocumented D reels. Who knows for certain? You’re probably wondering why the stings are on the soundtrack despite seemingly no one knowing what the original titles are. Well, it's likely that the versions Waxwork used on their vinyl reissue came directly from the film's music and effects stems.
-
Does anyone know why the revised D-107/108 is so desireable compared to some of the other dramatic releases? There's currently one on Discogs for $1200 and an eBay auction ended at $450 this week. Before that, another copy was sold on eBay a few years ago for roughly $800. I get that the music is nice, but I'm wondering if there could be another reason. Maybe it's the fact that a few tracks showed up in Creepshow?
-
One "L" series album you're missing is the original pressing of L 57/58, which features various tracks with the "MR" prefix instead of the "Beat Documentary" tracks from Bill Loose.

Maybe it's the "underwater" themes? That seems to be an obsession among some collectors.

Someone has been selling a HUGE collection of Capitol Hi - “Q”s on eBay, which I already purchased 2 of them (Not the ones below). ;D
I found some of the more recently put up ones that are new info to me both from Wolfgang Städele, one that’s the Professional album “Framework” and the other “Trends” except has 2 more songs that were never put in the Professional version. I've been wondering why my copies of D-3/4 and D-13/14 are housed in silver boxes instead of black. At first I thought it was either to indicate that these are replacement reels or just to differentiate 7 ½ IPS tapes from 15 IPS releases. I'm not sure if that's the case though; other revised and 7 ½ reels I've seen still have black boxes. A special feature from Criterion’s Night of the Living Dead blu-ray also shows cropped scans of a silver D-23/D-24, which AFAIK isn't a replacement reel. The best guess I have is that silver boxes were used when combining 2 older (pre-60s?) 15 IPS releases onto a single tape.

The seller who I bought my recent Hi - Qs added more for auction today including Richard Sterling’s X-215/X-216 interestingly called “Class Of ‘21”. 9 out of the 10 can be found in OGM Vintage #1 leaving out the last one “Turf Club”

I was under the assumption that the S series only went up to 53/54. Well, that seems to be wrong since S-83/S-84 happened to pop up on eBay today. It has Loose/Cookerly/Cadkin cues going by the OK codes. In any case, I've went ahead and purchased it. The same seller has another 'missing' Hi-Q up right now; X-63/X-64. I'm curious to see what others they end up listing, if they have any more.

This is surprising! Now I'm expecting the "S" series has a ton of MIA albums with removed/replaced content like the D-series.

Question for those with older editions of Hi-Q catalogues on them:
Is there any info out there on who the original "HM" (e.g. the original D-55/56) and "TI" (the prefix of the original L-65/66) are? I've been curious as to the identity of them for a while. Since the catalog Certainly has in his MEGA is a revised edition printed after these were withdrawn from the library, there's no info on these.
-
A few other reels have HM cues which are credited to Jan Kimberly. Maybe it's him on D-55/56 too. There's a chance the composer is someone entirely different since the rest of the Kimberly reels are much newer than 1958 though. The TI cues on the other hand are a total mystery.
-
I honestly have doubts they're Jan Kimberly, as that D-series album predates when Kimberly and other Danish composers that Ole Georg brought on joined the library, being released in 1958 (hence my saying they were the "original" HM). More likely to me it's a currently unknown composer under the prefix whose stuff was replaced with the Kimberly material in the 1970s. "SM" was another prefix that was originally reserved for Alexander Laszlo cues (none of his reels are out there, though) that was later replaced with Robert Ascot material.

Jan Kimberly is Ole Georg along with Henrik Nielsen, Neil Amsterdam, Robert Ascot, Tom Elliot and Jack Mayborn. I asked Yowp one time about who was the original HM composer, he thinks it might be someone named Henry Russell.

The ASCAP database pretty much confirms he wrote for Hi-Q. He provided cues for "Hip Hip Hurry," one of the Seely Six cartoons at Warners, as well as "The Alphabet Conspiracy," which is full of Hi-Q music, and the original Gumby (one of them was "Robot Rumpus").

I've known of Russell's name for a long time, but I have a hunch the "R" cues featured on the early S series and a few early X albums are his instead. It's possible the HM tracks are also his, just like how there's multiple prefixes assigned to Phil Green material (EM, PG, etc.)

Someone put up a few more rare Hi-Qs on eBay: X-83 through 90.
On another note, does anyone know the the cue IDs for D-51/D-52 and D-53/D-54?
