Wow, what a batch of vintage rarities here. Thanks so much TEH.

Is it possible to know which of these were conducted by Dolf Van Der Linden and his Metropole Orchestra and wich by Walter Collins and his London Promenade Orchestra?

Then it will be me, not understanding the tags. Or I'm possibly using the wrong software, but I see no orchestras in the tags.

I use dbPoweramp to create the tags. A lot of the time they do not show up in the player, just the basics like track number/name of track and composer... But if you hover over the track you should see them.... This is what i have added in the tags:

Thank you! I've only heard two Paxtons before.

By the way, the tags aren't showing up for me either in xACT. I only get Artist: King Palmer, Album: PR. 401, and Genre: Library Music, for example. I'm grabbing the info from the blog, though.

I see the tags I'm looking for in your pic.
I don't see them on my Mac, like A8, even with a tag software (to which I was reerring). Neither, XLD or MediaRage.
Probably because in these softwares there isn't a tag named "orchestra", like in your pic.
Nevermind TEH, thanks again.

Greta: That would make sense as i had to put that tag in myself.
All i can suggest is make your way to the blog when an update is made as all the information is there.
I didn't put them here as i simply put them in the tags, so presumed they would show.

Gosh, i didn't mean to make the deal so big. Sorry about that.
I was asking because I was not finding the orchestra infos on the blog either. But now I see they appeared there!

No big deal caused. Merely saying that the info is on the blog. I know tags are a PITA :).

TEH, thanks so much for sharing this block of Paxton '78s.

I've been amusing myself while searching for details, dates, and other pertinent info. I had NO idea these records were so 'vintage' (vintage just sounds more complimentary than saying "Old," doncha think?)

It's been an education, and I always dig learning whilst listening to fine orchestrals :)

Thanks for Paxton!  8]

Brilliant! I'm a big fan of this label, but they seldom show up.
