Oh, great. Didn't have this one in lossless. Thank you Eli.
(it's JW 458 too)
-
Is this lossless? The filesize seems a bit small for wav, and sounds like the same copy of the old 128 rip I have.
Can anyone check the specs?
-
I got some issue too by decompressing it with my usual software.
But then I tried Keka, and the files are just perfect. Genuine wavs.
Eli usually never share fakes.
Probably some issue with the .7z format?
-
Cool, thanks elifunk! :)

Good deal. Thanks, eli, and thanks for the check, Greta.

Using max compression a good archiver like 7z can compress nearly as well as FLAC.
Thank you for the rip.

I've used The Unarchiver for years and it's always been flawless. Until this rip by Elifunk. I guess there's always an exception to the rule, right?
Anyways, I went to the App Store and tried more than one new unarchiving tool. i had to, because more than one new app had the same problem of not being able to open today's download. Most peculiar!
After trying several apps, I finally to get it open. And it appears to be a tight, high quality WAV rip. The sky is definitely NOT falling :)
Whatever the issues surrounding various apps and this rip will have to remain a mystery for now. If you're reading this post and having similar troubles opening the file, don't worry. It will open. Just be patient and troubleshoot the file until you get your reward ;)
Finally, thank you Elifunk, for a fine upgrade!

Ok MD, but which software did you use at the end? I know you're on a Mac machine. Was it Keka for you as well?
I'm curious. If you found a working software I don't know, then I want to know. And if you didn't use Keka, I just want to let you know it works very well and it's free.

Hi Greta!
There's plenty of apps to choose in the App Store so i think my success was just random, like playing Russian Roulette with the Apps. Some will work and others may not.
The one that finally opened Elifunk's Bastard 7z file was called iZip Unarchiver.
It was FREE, of course, cuz you know me so well ;D
I've decided to keep the iZip App for now, just in case, but I'll stick with Unarchiver until it no longer works. It's like keeping more than one browser on your machine, so you've always got the correct tool for whatever job.

Great to get a nice upgrade of this one, thanks a lot Elifunk!
