Thanks for these! I'm wondering if this unknown track is from the Media librray- maybe The Professionals series:
https://librarymusicthemes.com/index.php?topic=52.0
This show was using those LPs at this time.

You're so welcome. I checked the song at the clip of the show you shared and I've never heard it before. Not from any of the Capitol Media Music albums that I have.

Thanks for that- helps whittle it down! Cheers.

Thanks a lot SoCalRyan! :)

Thanks for ripping your own LPs and also for finding the Hi-Q numbers for these. Terrific stuff!

You're welcome, I only wished I have more. I do have Contempo/Nostalgia, but somebody already uploaded that a while back. Regarding the Hi-Q listing, I actually looked them up on a couple of websites that archives past e-bay listings. Here's the sites I used.

The only downside is some of the images are too small to read, but plenty of them are readable.
Hope this helps.

Thanks SoCalRyan! The 2 Tom Elliot's were new for me and the Neil Amsterdam's were welcome upgrades! :)

You are so welcome! I'm so happy this is already making an impact on your collections. I'm guessing the upgrades for the Neil Amsterdam ones are because they are in stereo is it? :)

Sorry, but why you cannot upload those wonderful and also rare music in lossless, why?
I really like it and I was very disapointed when I saw it was only in mp3. So please, can you upload in real lossless I possible?
You should know I am a lossless collector!
Many thanks in advance!

I actually don't know what you mean by "lossless". If you could explain how it is different, maybe I can find a way to change it to that format.

Ryan, its for special people with special ears. j/k
Share what you want it doesn't have to be lossless

That's ok, no hard feelings. :)

One more thing to everyone who downloaded "Industry In Motion", I accidentally misplaced "Industry In Motion #10". I reuploaded the album with the actual song and not the variation. Sorry for the mix-up. The new link has been added to the original post as well.

Just thought I'd jump in here and offer an explanation of what "Lossless" means.
Essentially there are two types of file formats "Lossy" and "lossless". Audio files that offer smaller size are usually lossy, as they take out audio frequencies (that it thinks you can't hear) to acheive that smaller size. If the file is encoded at a high bit rate, this removal of frequencies is barely noticeable. However, at low bit rates the high frequencies will start to sound watery and verry unnatural. File formats such as MP3, OGG, AAC, and WMA are all lossy formats.
On the otherhand, lossless files are larger in size, yet all of the audio data is there. File formats such as WAV, AIF, and FLAC are all lossless. FLAC files give you the best of both worlds, as they offer a smaller file size (if compared to WAV), without losing frequencies.
One final note about lossy and lossless files: converting a lossy file to a lossless file will NOT improve the quality. Lossless files only sound as good as the source material. So if your source is a low quality MP3, then the resulting lossless file will sound just as bad. This process of re-encoding files is known as "transcoding" and should be avoided if at all possible. Hope this information helps.

Thank you very much for the info. I just have one question, if I were to re-make thee albums into lossless files in the future, which audio recording programs would you recommend to make these. Would Audacity be ok or should I use another program?
-
Yes, Audacity will work fine, I use it as my primary recording software (as I am blind and it is verry user friendly).

That's what I used to record these albums and glad it can used to make lossless files. I'll record them again soon and check how they turn out. Thanks again. ;)
-
No problem. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. It took me a long time (and a lot of trial and error) to figure this stuff out, so glad I could be of help.

SoCalRyan, when you originally recorded these LPs using Audacity the raw sound files were likely in lossless format. You have options in Audacity to export those -aup files in any number of lossless (FLAC, etc.) or lossy formats (MP3, etc.).
So in the future you can easily export the aup files as FLAC, for example, rather than lossy MP3. Also, you may not need to re-record the LPs if you still have the original Audacity files.

Hey SoCalRyan, I had the same issues myself- I'm not very techy and it took me an age to work out the way to do it. Most would agree rare LPs in any format is still good and certainly better than nothing. Thanks again.
I now use Audacity as Stack described with no issues.

Thank you for uploading these in FLAC.

Big thanks for the FLACs, SoCalRyan. For some reason I’ve never had the chance to listen to any Media Music releases, but these are awesome. I was expecting big band orchestra type sounds (nothing wrong with that, I like that stuff too) and got super tight jazz/funk! Ole Georg Hansen is da man!
Your transfers sound awesome, too. So once again, huuuuge thanks! :D

I'm glad they all turned out great in FLAC format. I actually started collecting these after I found out that they were used in a former Disneyland attraction called the Peoplemover, some of those albums have some of the music from the ride and Jack Wagner who was famous for being the voice of Disneyland was also famously associated with Capitol Records and Ole Georg and hand picked the songs from his own masters.
If you ever want to find some of his Big Band music here are some of the records that have the genre.
MEHS-3 - Media Music Release No. 8 - No. 3 - Big Band Era/Show Music - Neil Amsterdam [AKA X-163/164]

MEQS-7 - Media Music Release No. 14 - No. 7 - Big Band Highlight/Jazz Tradition - Neil Amsterdam [AKA X-249/250]
Or you can just go to his soundcloud page and also find much more. https://soundcloud.com/ole-georg
Hope this helps and thanks again for the compliments. :D
