The obscurities keep on coming! Today, another British rarity - enjoy some laid-back, smoky small combo 60's jazz from the pens of Italians Glauco Masetti, Franco Mojoli and Rossi Abner. As with the previously shared Cosmo electron (https://librarymusicthemes.com/index.php?topic=11994.0), this was issued on the British Ember Mood Music Library, but is actually a licensed recording from Cetra Commenti Musicali.
This sounds to be recordings of two different sessions. Our A-side features a quintet of tenor sax, organ, guitar, bass and drums - and considering the titles of tracks A3 and A5, I'd wager a guess that's a young Alberto Baldan Bembo you hear at the organ, and composer Glauco Masetti himself on the saxophone. Some lovely sounds on here, I particularly enjoy the sax-guitar doubling on "Hully Glauco".
The B-side features a quintet with a slightly different instrumentation; the tenor is joined by a baritone sax, piano, bass and drums. We've also picked up the pace quite a bit - B2 opens with some thundering drums, and the musicians trade some athletic solos throughout.
