Just found this in my collection.
Not lossless, but still worth checking out.
Enjoy!

If anyone has a lossless copy, feel free to post it. :)
Happy Weekend - MM
Crime Jazz Season One
Collection of Television themes from the Golden Age of British action/crime TV, the 1960's & 1970's.
Anyone out there not from the UK may not be familiar with a lot of these themes but don't let that put you off, this is a treasure trove of great music. It's a shame that a lot of the composers working in television don't get the recognition they deserve, there is a unique art in writing music able to set the mood & feel in a couple of minutes worth of music.

Thank you for the interesting looking compilation. It's unfortunate that even these 320kbps mp3 files are all transcoded also. I really don't know why people do that.
-
Yeah I know but thats all I have. Hope someone can post it in Lossless.
-
Pretty sure it was a fan made compilation from a blogspot page in 2007. I can't find a lossless copy of this compilation and I doubt one exists unless someone tracks down all the songs themselves and compiles anew.
-
Yes these were compiled by bloggers THXJay and (occasionally) Licorice Pizza. They featured on the excellent Crime Lounge site which closed down in 2014 though the site is still accessible. Unsurprisingly most if not all of the links are dead. There were two "seasons". This one of 17 volumes and a second of 10 volumes. My copies of season 1 volumes date back to October 2008 so it's no surprise they were in MP3 format. Equally I suspect the transcoding from 128 to 320kbps was done in all innocence in the belief that doing so would improve the audio quality. Those were the days!

That was my old music blog, nice to see there's still people finding it :)
I have a few that I have re-compiled using original lossless rips if anyone is interested..... I won't be doing them all as it is too much work and there's probably some stuff still not available in lossless anyway.
Here's
The Ministry Of Suspense! h++ps://mega.nz/file/Ey0RHJ4L#weUu5EAg6MJQ3sI_Ku2NEioQaw84DvLONaWZBkzo6n8

Really? Well I'm glad we've found you. I've been wanting to say thanks to the person responsible for the Crime Lounge for producing such an excellent blog and great shares for a long time. And all the time you've been here sitting quietly in the background! Needless to say I've kept all of your compilations even though they're in lossy format. They bring back memories of the days when there was an abundance of really good blogs around including Funky Frolic, Rangeraver's Departure Lounge, Loving Stereo, Sleazy Listening, Studio 2 Stereo and many others. Oh and I mustn't forget Your Pal Doug's Pals since he's also a member here.
Thanks for the updated shares. It''l be great to hear them in high quality lossless format.

You mentioned blogs I visited very often. For me, it was the golden age of blogging. It brings tears to my eyes ;D We truly have here among us a true figure from those times.
-
Excellent! It used to be one of my favorite blogs back then, with all those compilations of Dirty Harry, Starsky & Hutch, and of course the Crime Jazz collections! I really miss the golden age of blogs around 20052006, when it was a daily pleasure to visit all those pages so perfectly named by Nidostar

Sounds like Christmas to me :) looking forward to your posts!

WOW, thanks for all the kind comments folks, I didn't realise it was so popular :)
I can't beleive it has been so long ago......where does the time go!
The Latin Spy Lounge h++ps://mega.nz/file/Jv9lkSyQ#7lJxaPWuxQHi7zf-91hlBmS-y3IqCaB8RD-RuwMyeEE
If anyone is bothered the last few I posted were originally from 2007, not 2018 as tagged. Nearly twenty years ago!
As these aren't really library related I'll leave it at that. The "In Action" volumes I did back then were mainly library tracks and I've probably got a lot of them in lossless now (mainly from here) but not sure if it's worth all the searching and messing around. I guess someone could easily cobble the tracks together from their own collections.
Thanks again for the kind words :)

sorry, forgot to mention that track 1. Route 66 by Pete Moore is mp3 as I don't have that in lossless.

Thank you very much for your work , kpn ;)
