Same, and I'll add Nelson GLP 1006 to the request as well (my favorite Marc 4 record). How embarrassing that Sonor Music Editions have never dealt with this issue, do they even care a bit?

Many thanks for these winter2014. I notice, though, that the folder GLP 1004 actually contains the tracks and artwork from GLP 1001. Do you have GLP 1004, please?

Those are all transcoded, I mentioned that earlier. Please test files before you share them and do not upload transcoded flacs please.
The whole Nelson Records run that is shared on soulseek is transcoded. One of the folders even says 256kbps in THE FOLDER NAME yet it has flacs inside of it. There is another that also says 320kbps yet has flacs.

Thanks for the heads up with these BWP. I've deleted the albums which are clearly transcoded so there's no risk of me unwittingly passing them on. But would I be right in saying that 1001 is a genuine FLAC rip? The copies I already had of 1007 and 1008 also appear to be genuine FLACs.
This is one reason why I don't do Soulseek. For me it creates more problems than it solves and I really haven't got the patience to check every single track I come across. So I'm grateful for your spotting these.

Not sure if you noticed, but track 1 from 1001 is in my series of spectrals I posted earlier. 1001 is also transcoded for sure. 1007 and 1008 do look legit to me, thanks for the heads up. I converted all the albums to V0 long ago once I reckoned the lot were upsampled. Here's track 2 spectral from 1001. You can clearly see the shelf at 16kHz indicating it is at best a variable bitrate mpeg file.

This is one reason why I don't do Soulseek.
I would gently suggest that you reconsider your opinion of soulseek. It has been the most helpful resource for collecting library music for me, 100x moreso than these forums ever have been. LMT is great don't get me wrong, but soulseek is literally the mother load if you're into collecting library music. I thought I had a decent sized collection of regular music and movies etc before, but soulseek basically fills 90% of the gaps left by LMT etc. You're right to assume it's a bit of a crapshoot with transcoded files, etc but it's very much a tiny problem really. Soulseek for sure has a lot of faults, but it is one of the only Internet 1.0 places left with zero moderation and complete peer to peer autonomy. I even met my wife on soulseek 20 years ago, but that was pure luck lol.

@BlackwatchPlaid, the files have been removed—sorry about that. Just happened to have them on hand when I came across the request, and wasnt aware to verify the authenticity.

BUMP! Let's beat these transcodes and hope we can get some genuine quality rips in here. Especially for 1006. :)

These are, as far as I know, the only legitimate rips of original Nelson LPs by I Marc 4. They're from Rocco.
Keep in mind that also the LP and CD reissues by Sonor of the Nelsons seem to be duds, meaning: they were produced from lossy sources. I remember that we had a little discussion here on the forum about this with Sonor's Lorenzo Fabrizi years ago who tried to deny it.
Further legitimate lossless files or CDs of music by I Marc 4 exist in the form of

Blackwatch, to increase a bit the percentage of legit lossless from the whole Nelson Records run, here are:

[Nelson Records] - GLP 1014 - Ludovico Fulci - New Sound N.3 (vinyl rip by a8detective)
a8 detective shared GLP 1013 and GLP 1014 in flac 16-44 back in 2019. I've been in contact with him in these days for a question I was needing to ask and he kindly provided 24-44 upgrades.
There's no evidence the three albums from the series ""New Sounds" (GLP 1012-1013-1014) were played by I Marc 4, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely.
And as a bonus, a8 detective is sharing with us all a beautiful 45 by I Marc 4.
