Title: DoctorDoodle19's Official Music Library Rip Requests!
Post by: DoctorDoodle19 on February 09, 2026, 06:07:47 PM
The other request for CD rips I made was not enough... I like a lot of different Library Music.

I already know people who own some of these, I'm waiting to buy them. I don't know anyone who owns all of them. So, if you could help me achieve my wishlist, I would love that! :)

Rooting around my collection, I had downloaded a bunch of these from soulseek over time. Here is a list of what I have from your list. Most is in flac but some albums are in .opus format. This is a newer lossy format but it is better than both mp3 and aac by a large stretch. For example, you can have music encoded with OPUS and it will sound great even as low as 64kbps. This makes it about 4x as good as mp3 as far as compression efficiency, so don't be put off by a lossy format. I would have replaced these with flacs by now if I had a source, but opus is still FAR better than mp3 could ever be. Let me know if you want any or all of these rips.

Arcal BGM Library
AG792 - Garden - Garden - 1979 (FLAC)
AML 2810G - Unknown Artist - Arcal Music Library - 1982 (FLAC)
AML 2812M - John Beeman - Arcal Music Library Moods Of The Four Seasons (FLAC)

Hello BWP!
I'm not sure I was understood when I mentioned Arcal BGM Library. It's in Japan. It's not the Arcal you're thinking of.
Here's a link of the actual albums I'm looking for, from Arcal BGM Library. It's a separate brand.
I doubt you'll have these, they're so rare, I only know one person who owns one of them, and they're not willing to send rips to me. I would prefer the 1st selection and 3rd, but any of them are fine if you just so happen to have them.
You can purchase them, but Chun YinZi once mentioned they cost up to $200...
htXXs://rma-j.site/arcal/

But I will gladly take everything else you have!
I honestly don't care about the quality, as long as it's not Summer 1 and 2 quality...

Also, if you have scans with the OHCO stuff, send them over too. The album covers are hard to find online. If you can convert to WAV that would be great. otherwise, I can do it.

Hello Blackwatch,

I’m interested in hearing those albums and whatever format they’re in , I can soon transfer them.

I could never work out how to use Soul Seek, bit torrents are easier to download.

Thank you .

Converting to wave is pointless and inefficient, you won't catch me uploading waves sorry.

Here's the albums I offered. I realize now the Arcal is a different one (easy mistake to make!), but others have expressed interest so here's the lot.

The ripper of the Roland albums (I'd wager money it's someone from here  ;D ) did include 600dpi scans. I personally think they are a little overkill (300dpi is plenty good enough) but I left them as is.

I do, and I don't know if some of them are indeed the same library. I have a bunch of BRM cat# prefixes and a bunch of AR LP prefixes. It's all Ariston AFAICT I just don't know the reason for the different catalogue numbers. I got all the BRM ones ready to upload, but if the other LPs are to be included, it makes more sense to uplaod the full lot. Here's a screenshot of what I have you can let me know if you want them all or just the BRMs.

Thank you for the uploads, I'd certainly not heard the Arcal albums before, though I do recognise some of the tracks being used in various 1980s radio shows.

I've just seen that you've posted an image of the other BRM and Ariston albums, unfortunately being in the nanny state of the UK, I can't see the image.

Thanks again.

There’s a playlist of some Ariston on yt youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLqOD4xGbcwwqeFF5Ubvkvwus4lY-rUt4&si=HHIBuq1UqiTOco4B

Handy to audition the albums in Blackwatch’s list.

Yes, it’s weird. When in the UK I can’t see the Imgur images. And yet here in France with my VPN set to UK they come out fine. Odd.

I'm only interested in the New Age one, but since they're rare, I think it's better for me just to have all of them. If you want, provide the non BRM ones.

No prob. Here's the lot, minus the 3 albums I found that are ridiculously transcoded (see this gallery (https://imgur.com/a/vuHG3Y4) if you're curious just how bad). The AR LP albums are all mp3, mostly lower bitrates, 128s, 192s, a few 320s. Most of the BRM albums are flac, as labeled in the filename.

Many thanks BWP. I only had three Ariston albums BRM's 12, 15 and 17. They all sound good. I'm going through your BRM set at the moment and they don't disappoint.

One thing that puzzles me though - an observation not a complaint. It always strikes me as odd that the original rippers of these albums have enough pride in their work that they save tracks as WAV or 24 bit FLAC and yet often the final product is not as good as it could be. BRM 003 is a good example. The sound level is so low you can hardly hear the music. The other thing that gets me going is the unnecessarily long lead in for some tracks. One track on BRM 003 had a 7 second lead in of complete silence before the music started. Crazy! Fortunately being FLACs I can edit them to address these shortcomings without detriment to the quality of the audio data.

As I said it's an observation only because I know you've got these from your travels around the net and that you aspire to higher standards for your own rips. But I just wonder why people are content to put out substandard rips in the first place but in 24 bit FLAC?

By the way, do you know if your rip of volume 17 is better quality than what BWP has?
I don't understand audio THAT much, but it seems you realize some of BWP's rips are not as good as they could be.
I originally wanted complete Ariston rips cuz the stuff I was downloading from YT wasn't the best. I for sure wanted "Ask me Anything" from volume 1 because the snare drum in the song was low quality sounding for half of the recording in the YT version.
