Early Italian libraries issued on RCA Italiana. The records were issued inbetween regular commercial releases on the label, and was probably something of an experiment before they launched their dedicated library imprint RCA Custom (https://librarymusicthemes.com/index.php?topic=408.0).

Questo disco, assieme al 33 giri da 30 cm. «Sottofondi musicali N. 1» (LPM 10029), ad un altro 45 giri EP, «Sottofondi musicali N. 3» (EPA 30-282) e ad un 78 giri (A25V 0669), fa parte di una speciale serie di incisioni, che ha carattere di assoluta novità. Realizzato dalla RCA Italiana appositamente per l'uso delle stazioni radio e televisive, tali incisioni potranno trovaro largo impiego anche nel campo teatrale e cinematografico. I vari titoli esemplificano tutti i possibili stati d'animo e le situazioni che possono verificarsi durante qualsiasi tipo di rappresentazione.

This «Background Music n. 3», together with a LP «Background Music n. 1» (LPM 10029) and a 45 r.p.m. «Background Music n. 3» (EPA 30-282) and a 78 r.p.m. (A25V 0699), belong to a special and absolutely new series of recordings.
These recordings made by RCA Italiana to be specifically used by Radio and TV stations may also meet, largely, the needs of theater and movie.
The various titles indicate all possible moods and situations which ma occur during any type of representations.
