For a while, I thought there were three LPs from Tempo that featured Mozart Edition cues, being TS 1013, TS 1017 and TS/T 1021, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that this is a fourth LP from Tempo with Mozart cues, especially for the fact that the PDF I saw this LP in showed a tracklist from a similar LP from Oscar Records that doesn't feature Mozart Edition cues, but does share the same cover art. That Oscar Records LP was an LP named "The Fire And Romance Of Spain". The Tempo LP's tracklist is different than the Oscar LP, as it contains even more rare Mozart Edition cues, mainly from (As usual) Peter Walden's Orchestra Raphaele, the usual orchestra in Mozart Edition's catalog. There are some interesting things worth noting about this LP. Firstly, Costa Del Sol by Werner Bochmann on this LP is shortened, as the beginning of the track is cut off. Thankfully, this track had been archived on one of Mozart Edition's CD re-issues, specifically MECD.1005. Secondly, this is another Tempo LP to feature a Raphaele Concert Orchestra arrangement by Peter Waldenmaier, the orchestra's main conductor, this time being Emmanuel Chabrier's "Espana", which was originally written by Chabrier in 1883 after a trip of his to Spain, and was also dedicated to Charles Lamoureux, who conducted this piece's first public perfomance on November 4th, 1883. Lastly, and most interestingly, Flowers For Conchita by Chris Striegler is a cue that's likely played by none other than Detlef Rath and his Orchestra, specifically a cue from the orchestra's later tracks in Mozart Edition, as this contains similar instrumentation to a cue I compared this to, Alexandria by Ralf Heninger, also from the same orchestra, but credited as Orchestra Raphaele on its LP issue on ME.LP 045. Rath also conducted a few other pieces on ME.LP 45, including "Let's Change" by Karl Faust (An alias for Rath himself) and "Goodbye Rio" by Rudolf Maluck. This is a notable piece on this LP, because outside of background music records and tapes from things like 3M Cantata, Customusic and Seeburg, this seems to be the only Detlef Rath piece to surface on a non-library issue that I've seen. This track also may have gotten a Radio Records issue on RRS 110 - Magic Brazil, where the cue was possibly renamed to "Newcastle Retreat", though I do not have this LP in my collection, so I can't confirm it. Also note that Flowers For Conchita on this LP is in mono, compared to the rest of the cues on this LP, similar to the Jack Dieval cues from TS 1017, Champs Elysees Promenade and Place Vendome. Here's the LP. I also provided a file for the full version of Costa Del Sol in this rip too. Special thanks goes to Kevin Stapylton for the full version of Costa Del Sol. Enjoy! =)
