This may look like your average Scotch Reel to Reel Tape box, but inside it, according to apmnut (Thanks to him for the info. :) ) is cues from the elusive Sheriton Mood Music label, a label ran by C&B Music Library and Musi-Que regular Harry Bluestone that was a successor to C&B. This tape does not list any track names sadly, nor does it list any composers, but the only composers in this label are Bluestone and Emil Cadkin, so these tracks are definitely written by the two. Strangely, despite the fact that this tape says SH 1126 to 1138, there are only 12 cues on the tape, instead of 13 (SH 1136 is not on the tape). Interestingly, the tracks also contain cue number announcements, similar to Capitol Hi-Q reels (I kept the announcements in the track files too). This tape runs at 15 ips, but the player I have runs up to 7 1/2 ips, but thankfully, 7 1/2 ips is half the speed of 15 ips, so I sped up the digitized audio by 2x on Audacity to get it to 15 ips. Enjoy! =)

This is an extreme rarity. Thank you for sharing WSBG.

Wow, what a find! Thanks a lot for sharing.
And such nondescript packaging, too. Do you think this is a bootleg? : D

Thanks for finally digitizing and sharing this rarity, WSBG! The various libraries Harry Bluestone was involved with are among the ones I'm most fascinated by, so I'm genuinely ecstatic to finally see one of these rare library reels out there. Even better, these tracks seem to be among the very few Bluestone/Cadkin tracks Carlin Production Music never released on their Archive Series!

LOL ;D I think I've seen some examples of Emil Ascher tapes on Worthpoint that are similar to this Sheriton tape, with them coming in tapes from brands like Scotch and Melody amongst others, though those came with index cards with track names, composers and lengths, alongside catalog numbers too. In fact, I think all library music tapes that were distributed were put on regular tapes. Here's an example, showing Impress' IA 147 to 148 and the A-Side of IA 149:

Sadly, I don't own any of the Emil Ascher tapes seen on Worthpoint's site.
