Early and short-lived US 78 label, established during the silent film era in the late 1920's.
Also known as "Library of Victor 'Pict-Ur-Music' to Accompany Motion Pictures" and "The Victor 'Pict-Ur-Music' Library Service".
Initially under His Masters Voice and Victor Record/The Victor Talking Machine Co., based in Camden, NJ the label was taken over by the Radio Corporation of America ("RCA") in January 1929, and moved under RCA Photophone Inc., in New York, NY, before being discontinued by RCA in January 1931.
The initial releases have regular A- and B-sides, whereas the releases with a letter in the catalogue number contain the same cue on both sides, similar to that of its contemporary Brunswick Mood Accompaniment Library (https://librarymusicthemes.com/index.php?topic=8453.0).
Though the catalogue number may hint at it, I'm not really sure if these were also issued as regular A-/B-sided 78s.
All known records after 0163 contain the same cue on both sides.
