In response to Sharon's request in the request bit of the forum, here are three more Mozarts - 023 and 025 are slightly older rips of mine, which are pefectly decent but I think I could improve on at some stage.
Otherwise, enjoy!
MELP 023 (A) Eugen Cicero Quintet (B) Earl Sheldon and his Music

Thanks Lord Thames. MELP 25 is one we've all been after for some while. Any others on Sharon's list which you or Retro are able to share would be very much appreciated. Ultimately I suspect they may help fill some holes amongst the test card fraternity on the forum.
-
Hi Lord Thames
Many thanks
Sharon
-
Thanks, LT. All three are new for me!
-
Many thanks Lord Thames
-
Thanks for posting these Lord Thames - much appreciated ! I have quite a few of these so if anyone is missing others please reply and I will post.
My own missing list though is now down to 28, 33, 37, 40, 41, 64 and 65 but I can share anything from 1 to 114 apart from these ones.
-
Big thanks LT, 25 is a new one for me. As for vfbr2001's missing list, I think that's the same for everyone. I've not seen those shared before. Hopefully one day they will turn up.
-
So are 28, 33, 37, 40, 41, 64 and 65 the ones I should do?
-
I for one would appreciate that. Alongside those I'm missing 007, 016, 027, 030, 067, 070, 074, 100.
From memory, I think some of these have appeared here at some point but missed them, or due to a couple of forum crashes, those posts with links have disappeared or expired.

Yes please Retronic - I think a lot of people on here would be very happy with that !

Ok - I will upload these and post a link !
-
I agree with tonyc1971 that those you are kindly offering to share would be a tremendous step forward. Like Tony I am missing one or two others though oddly not the same ones as Tony. I thought we had all been keeping a close eye on previous ME posts and were pretty much of one voice as to which volumes we were missing. I must have clearly taken my eye off the ball at some point. As well as those Tony has mentioned and those that Retro plans to share the ones I would very much like in lossless are MELP 43 and 61 and MESLP 78, 91 and 110 if you have them.
-
Not sure which are lossless, these are as they were sent to me - these are all the ones that were requested with 74 to follow tomorrow:
This link contains 007, 016, 027, 030, 043, 061, 067, 070, 078, 091, 100 and 110
I didn't put in the S for the stereo ones, but you will see which are which.

Very many thanks vfbr2001. I had been working on your earlier version of your post with transfer.it links but was having enormous problems with download speed. The Mega link is far easier for me at least. I look forward to listening to these new MEs in the coming days.
-
Thanks for the good willing vfbr2001, but unfortunately your files seem to be all upscaled mp3.
Tony, here are 07, 16, 67 in flac.
transfer.it/t/OvwNSXphQJTB
Would you have lossless versions of number 39 and 43?
If you do, then we seem to miss the same numbers, which are 27-28-30-33-37-40-41-64-65-70-74-100
Retro, thanks for your offer on whatever you might have between those bolded numbers, which I think everyone should miss in lossless format.
-
Thanks for pointing this out Greta. It's only this morning that I'm taking a look/listen to these files. I also found that the files appeared devoid of musical data even when loaded into Audacity on my Mac. But converting them to Apple Lossless seemed to do the trick. Maybe it was to with the fact that they are in 32 bits format only I don't usually have a problem playing FLAC files? But I don't want to appear picky vfbr2001 I'm grateful for your conribution. The upside is that I can now listen to three new ME albums. I've marked them appropriately to ensure I don't mistake them for true FLACs in the future. Now looking forward to Retro's offerings.
-
I’ve got the first three recorded and one edited. Off out for the day so will pick up tomorrow. Possibly later if I have time.
-
Thanks very much Retro
-
Thank you Lord ;D Really appreciate it. :)

No need to worry about being picky. As I said these are simply as they were sent to me. However I did as you suggested and converted them to Apple Lossless and it did do the trick. At least it does fill a gap as the search continues for the best recordings we can find.

Thanks for these three new Mozart Edition LPs! =)
-
Thank you so much for these latest MEs Retro. All three fill gaps that I had in one of my favourite libraries. Just as I think there's nothing more to get my attention in library music you and Greta (with her Trkizbrki bunches) add more. It's no good I'm going to have to get another hard drive as 4TB is clearly not enough. Oh and pay for some more cloud storage!
-
Thanks so much for the additional titles that, like other have expressed, fill in a few more gaps for us completists out here! ;)

Hi Retro
Many thanks for
ME 028, 033, and 037
Do you have 40, 41 and 64?
Many thanks again
Sharon
-
Yes. All recorded but now the suns out I’m chilling in the garden. Off work tomorrow so I will edit in next 24 hours I suspect.
-
Hi Retro
Much appreciated
Many thanks
Sharon
-
I concur with John_Fred's assessment of missing MEs but would add MELP 061 and MESLPs 70, 74,91, 100 and 110 bearing in mind those shared by vfbr2001 were sadly upscaled lossies. Would that be correct?
-
Thank you Retronic!
MELP 28, 33 & 37 are wonderful.
Great sound and some good tunes in there.
Your pal,
Doug
-
Thanks so much Retro for n.'s 28,33,37. Hurrah!
John Fred is correct, the list of missings is as he says, cause in my previous one I was not considering the 200 series.

I'm particularly happy with that 028 cause it's great for me to discover more and more of the Boneschi classical side, other than the fantastic electronic one.
-
Yes, a wide range of composers on Mozart- often every track by someone different.
-
John Fred is correct, the list of missings is as he says, cause in my previous one I was not considering the 200 series.
I was afraid I might have missed one or two. In which case does someone have a copy of MELP 061 and MESLPs 91 and 110 they might like to share, please?

They're a bit like a 'Lucky Bag' in that you rarely get a sense of what's inside by looking at the cover , with descriptions simply saying 'slow' or 'bright' tempo.
It's always a surprise when some vocals kick in and Mozart Edition is a label where you need to dig around. I did post a couple of 'best bits' compilations elsewhere on here if anyone is new to the label and there are two official comps posted there too.

Thanks for these next two Mozart LPs Retronic! ;D
-
Thank you John_Fred. My saviour as always! Now hopefully I'm up to speed with the rest of you.
And thank you Retro for 40 and 41. The end is in sight, maybe, perhaps?

Thanks Retronic - much appreciated - as you say a mixed bag with ME but well worth a rummage. ! Lovely to hear ME LP 041 ending with 'My Friends' which started the the BBC trade test tape of the same name in 1972 - and that tape is a powerhouse of library music with tracks from ME, Knightsbridge Music, Berry Music, Sonoton, Chandos, Medway, Chappell and Peer to name a few !
-
All this ME is addictive - can any one post ME LP 64? This is the only ME album I have never heard and do not even know the track listing !
-
You may want to tag yourself as these have suites which make the titles longer

Thanks Retronic - very much appreciated - some of the tracks on 064 I do know and were used on the BBC in Intervals between programmes and are available on some ME compilation CDs too. Tunes on 065 were used on the BBC Trade Test Tape 'Dance Prelude' from 1975 which is a tape that is 100% Mozart Edition music. It's a fascinating library for sure.
-
Thank you for 64 and 65 Retro. Interesting to note that these two departed from the usual light music genre of previous ME albums and have gone all cultured on us! Also they are both in stereo and have the MESLP prefix. Which of course messes things up alphabetically/numerically because Earl Sheldon's album number 066 in the series is in mono!
-
Hi Retro
Many thanks for sending all the missing ME LPs
Just out of interest do you have ME LP 021
Much appreciated
Sharon
-
Yes they have small STEREO stickers added to the front

Thanks once again to Retronic for the 4 additional titles that are required by most.
It's interesting that both 064 and 065 are in stereo despite not having the 'S', that we've becomes accustomed to in the slightly later titles that denote a stereo recording. Presumably, the stickers applied were specifically for stereo versions of these titles?
Interestingly enough, it's not a complete surprise as many of the MELP albums must have stereo equivalent tracks somewhere, due to some of them being part of trade test tapes in stereo. One can only assume the recordings used to put the tapes together were taken from stereo masters prior to the tracks used on MELP titles being converted to mono, for whatever reason. still, we can't complain! ;D
-
I guess the vinyl LPs were for ‘audition purposes’ and if producers wanted to use a track they would request a copy on reel to reel tape.
-
Many thanks Tony

I suspect you're right. When delving through the LMT archives recently I came across a collection of Chappell albums all with the prefix "CV" but referencing vinyl releases in the LPC series. Many of the vinyl releases were originally in mono but these were in stereo. The "CV" I presume is for Chappell Vaults? Much like the JW Media digital stereo releases are JW Vaults with a JWV prefix. By the way, a belated thank you neowave for your generous share.

Retro, just quickly logged in to post the batch.45, and I find 7(!) new Mozart to me.
Thank you so much friend, they'll keep me busy (and happy) this weekend.
