Title: About “Musrc.com”
Post by: ChunYinZi on June 23, 2025, 01:34:17 PM
Recently, a lot of people have asked me via private message or various channels why the password for Musrc is wrong.

In fact, I asked Retro Matic about it on Facebook.

I said, "Why did you change your password?

His response: I will be routinely changing the password from now on as part of improvements to the site.

(Actually, the reason he's doing this, I think, has something to do with the fact that Musrc's password was previously compromised by a non-member.)

At this point, you may be asking how do I get the latest password?

In fact, after my inquiries, I've compiled the following information.

Every album has a different password.

When you ask Retro Matic for passwords for certain albums.

Retro Matic will release a new password for the album you need, individually.

And it could be a day before the password expires again, so you need to download it as soon as possible.

In fact, these days, some of the guys at LTM are getting the passwords to some of the albums through sponsorships.

And that includes me, too. It's about two dollars an album.

You can get the password for the album you want through Retro Matic's Facebook page or through the contact form inside Musrc.

That's all I've got so far.

If you have any more information, you can leave a message, and I don't want people asking me about Musrc in private chats anymore.

Thank you for that.

It can't be legal to donate for something you don't own copyrights for.

Maybe, but at least you get the password for the rips you're looking for. At least I'm a donor. I used to donate my money to Retromatic, but I'm a bit doubtful if I'm going to do this again in the future, but I'll use my time to think about it.

You don't donate for the artistic work on those CDs but more for the mere service of having them ripped. The same as me recording you something and sell you a mixtape. It's the tape, not the music, which requires a license still. (Yes, the music being duplicated and distributed is a problem too but we are talking about ownership of the artistic work foremost).

Buying any media you don't own the copyright on the media itself obviously. That'd make music stores literally illegal and you'd own the copyright to e.g. all ABBA tracks by just possess heir vinyls/CDs.
