Been seeing a few things related to this lesser known library pop up lately on eBay, felt like it was time to give this company its time in the sun.

Obscure US tape library established in 1969 under Shoreham Music Corp. and GLO Publishing Company, and run by library music entrepreneur Gordon Zahler, essentially an expansion of his older General Music Corporation music/sound effects library. The contents of this library totaled well over a whopping 5,000 tracks (as confirmed in a 1972 Billboard article describing the library, the biography "Strange As It Seems" elaborates the number as being around 5,500), many of them licensed from various European sources (mainly Italian composers, but ASCAP has a few tracks from German composers like Herbert Thusiek and Horst Ackermann/Fritz Spannuth under Shoreham in their database), including 1,400 which were "original tunes on which Globe controls the copyrights", as per the Billboard article. The library also distributed sound effects, under the "Globe Sound" label.

The library was acquired in 1972 by NY closed circuit television firm Project 7, Inc., and surviving sound effect reels mention the company as "a division of Project 7". No idea on when the library shuttered, but I've seen a listing of a company in Chicago ("Shield Productions") in the 1985/86 Audio-Video Market Place directory as having "Globe" as their sound effects library of choice.

As I have no access to a catalog or anything that would reveal a discography for this label, here's a list of tracks under Shoreham in ASCAP that I've no doubt are from the "Globe" iteration of Gordon's library:
