(https://i.imgur.com/JjJtY9d.jpg) | YAN TREGGER Yan Tregger was born in Algeria from a french family with italian origin. Around his 15/16 he learned piano and trumpet in an autodidact way. Yan Tregger began his carrer around 1967/68, first as a singer. He soon became known by composing the "Shadoks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Shadoks)" theme (french animated television series created by cartoonist Jacques Rouxel). His first record destined for Library music was "Freezing Point (https://www.discogs.com/release/2736139)" under Marignan label. Between the 70's and the 80's he had released about thirty projects under different aliases. In France, he was one of the first to experiment disco with his band Major Symphony (https://www.discogs.com/artist/702161). His biggest hit was his "Chase (https://www.discogs.com/master/216864)" record under the name M.B.T. Soul (https://www.discogs.com/artist/427229), which will be sold about 100 000 copies, but unfortunately his producer ran away with the money. During his carreer Yan Tregger has written more than 2000 tracks registred at the SACEM, including more than 1000 released by glorious label such as Barclay, Vogue, CBS... Not many people know that he is the nephew of italian actor Erno Crisa (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0187927/). Little fun fact: He designed the "Magnum (https://www.discogs.com/release/1028271)" album cover. |
