yes, i got this and it's a great mix. only problem is how some of the tracks are edited or (re)-mixed so they repeat instead of playing each track from start to finish. maybe because of licensing? maybe this will encourage someone to re-issue some more lost soviet library and soundtrack music albums

thank you n6 for sharing this post

the problem of our old Soviet soundtracks is that in their times nobody cared aboud keeping music from films

So some super cinematographic music is lost (((

Some occasionally music can be found in deep musical archives and some enthusiasts do so if possible, but tape recordings are usually mono and of bad quallity.

So the only way is often to cut monosound directly from film and enhance it someway.
DJ who prepared this release writes in the comments on Youtube that some titles and composers/performes are unknown because there were no info in titres of films he used.

Licensing? Ha-ha, it's not a question for such forgotten material here )))

PS. Even such man as Soviet score colossus and giant Edward Artemiev (hundreds of films!) released in USSR only 1 official LP compilation of soundtracks themes
https://www.discogs.com/E-Artemiev-Э-Артемьев-Moods-Картины-Настроения/master/785021

and only last year the box of 11 CD with some film music was released by his son.
https://www.discogs.com/Эдуард-Артемьев-АнтологияAnthology/release/12230012
and it was the result of years of restoration from mono tapes and film cuts.

It would be awesome to get hold of those 11 CD's rips. Really intriguing.

I think compilation unlicensed too, because in USSR don't care about licensing.
There is little material with international music that was only on magnetic tapes in mono, called magnitofilms and many records were signed with unknown names, many works are not on Discogs, only on miraculously surviving records that are collected from all over the country are saved and shared on the forum a few collectors

@n6 You should listen to some KPM releases, many of them are very groovy and tasty! :)

KPM 1188 / Keith Mansfield ‎‎– Contempo
https://youtu.be/-XQCEI8Yt2M

I'm addicted to this Masterpiece, one of the most beautiful albums ever made.
Alain Goraguer ‎– La Planète Sauvage (Bande Sonore Originale)

Hi kosmiksoul !

Yes, I know KPM since years and i've a lot of records, but just 2 original LP's (KPM 1210 & KPM 1224).
i discovered KPM through the "Music For Dancefloors" compilation by Strut records released in 2000 and reissued in 2013 with bonuses.

I made a copy from the original CD with the complete artwork...

I was just surprised that's soviet grooves exists ! And it sounds damn pretty good !!

About Alain Goraguer, outside his collaboration with Serge Gainsbourg from end 50's until middle 60's
I have also the "Planète Sauvage" soundtrack, sounds fantastic anyway ! I have the movie too...

Here a little gift for you, this is the trailer from the movie "Sur Un Arbre Pérché" by Serge Korber (1971),
the same man did the movie "L'Homme Orchestre" (1970) with the amazing soundtrack by François De Roubaix.

hOOps://mega.nz/#!uI4iia5L!zFdOfJdttWRuB2pyr9ntzgMToUIoQfVItQrxzwO8RNU

I own the original DVD, so i could extract it.

No found on Youtube outside these 2 interesting links:

Not only the music by Alain Goraguer is weird but all the trailer too !
Enjoy your ears & eyes !

Cheers  :)
