Reviving this thread -

I recently learned that Richard Oesterreicher died a few days ago in his native Wien.
He was behind a few cues on Europhon and a single cue on Harmonic, "Chuzpa", as well as compositions for a number of Austrian labels (WM, Weltmusik, Earl, Allround Music, Cosmos, Lion Baby Rec., etc.) - but is likely more well-known in library circles for his work with the ORF-Big Band, both as guitarist, harmonica soloist, composer and conductor.

I just found out that Geoffrey Brand (Born 1926) passed away several months ago on February 6th of this year (In GMT Time). He had done some library work for Audio BMP, and was also most notably a prolific brass band arranger and conductor.
Rest in piece... =(

What got lost in the great purge...

Alan Hawkshaw passed away in October 2021.

Francis Monkman passed away on May 11, 2023.

2 significant library music composers especially from KPM and Bruton.

I was saddened to learn that Herbie Flowers died a few days ago:

Interesting that they don't mention his career in the library industry, besides just saying "session work" -- Production music is still the hidden dimension, the music most people don't talk about.

Teddy Lasry, the French composer and arranger for the library, passed away last May. A huge loss, he was one of the composers who introduced me to the world of the library. Rest in Peace, Lasry.

I just found out composer Dwight Mikkelsen (also known as Jeremy Stills and Nikki Bernard in Capitol/OGM) passed away in August this year.

Oh my, that's sad to hear. :'(

Also, not to mention, he is also a composer of Network Music, FirstCom, Emil Ascher, and Parry Music, known as Dwight Mikkelson.

Thanks, Mr. Mikkelsen, for the wonderful music tracks you've made for me. You will be missed always! 😭😭😭

Selamat jalan, Tn. Mikkelsen! Kami selalu merindukan-Mu! 😭😭😭

I heard that legendary music producer Quincy Jones passed away at the age of 91. He contributed to Extreme Music’s Q-Series. Outside of this small venture, he was well-known in the industry and he will be dearly missed.

Ryszard Poznakowski died on yesterday night. Even though the number of library music tracks he composed is minuscule (one song each on Coloursound and Selected Sound repertoire), it's still a loss:
