Anyway, for now, let's go back to identify these unknown tracks and do what we're doing here.

Ugh, AI, AI, AI. No no no, i'm not trying to jump into that conclusion. And no, i did not mean to offend this one. I'm just stating my opinion on that. I mean, in my honest opinion, AI at this point is not that bad, and i don't see that problem, but when it comes to that point, man. What a mess. AI slop is everywhere, AI everything, bleugh! Not trying to be rude, but i'm stating my opinion on that. Yeah, i agree with you, ζBUS. No way i could be using newer Micro$lop products with their godawful AI features, even in a virtual machine, though i used that often (or sometimes), but that's my honest opinion.

Oh, i can see your frustration with the internet and the system as a whole. And, i have to agree. I feel the same way, friend. AI age verification in my opinion, ugh! I would fear that i would be hacked. I'm too scared if you know what i mean.

My frustration was with the internet and the system as a whole. I simply found it bizzare how some people on those "other sites" have nostalgia for forums, despite that 1. They still exist. and 2. The way we handle troublesome events seems to be no better than the big sites, as proven on here recently.

Our advantages still hold true, as evidenced by the fortunate lack of mass surveillance (e.g. age verification) and data collection, and the way we feel like family that you'll never get from Reddit or Discord.

So if anyone from the outside world is reading this: if you miss forums so much, make yourself at home here or on the countless other forums that are alive and well.
Yes! it's a fact. Our advantages STILL hold true. I agree with what you said. Thanks for the great advice.

Again, this is not a rant, but this is my opinion on that point. I really, really hope LMT will become a better community in the future.

they don't hit the same way.

A lot of studio sites "remaster" these albums and I think 9 times out of 10 they don't know what the heck they are doing.

Ah, my apologies. But my frustration wasn't meant to be lurched at you guys due to the lack of replies.

The reason why I started this thread in the first place was simply because I still have no way to run the Fingerprinter; Linux is completely incompatible, and my spare computer with Windows 8.1 has Javascript errors when trying to make it work. And no, I have no intent on using the newer Micro$lop products ever again with all their newfangled AI features, even in a virtual machine.

Darn, i'm so sorry, ζBUS, that you had to go through this. To me, i feel the same way. I don't have much words to say because i don't know what to say, but i personally feel sympathy about you. Hope you will feel better sooner. It's a shame that the community here in LMT is in shambles right now, heck, even i am in the shamble here right now. I really hope LMT will be better sooner or later. :-\

Sorry if i say this. I know this was offensive, but this was my opinion on what happened here right now.

I'm sorry you feel that way ζBUS. Though I think you're being a little harsh to judge the LMT community based on the lack of response to a 12 day old post. I, personally, haven't responded because I am hopeless at identifying tracks particularly from the 90s onwards because to me they all sound the same and are fairly underwhelming musically. But I'm sure if I had responded along those lines you would have felt it unhelpful. Equally if other members are unable to identify the tracks it would be silly for all of them to respond accordingly. A thread full of "nil return" doesn't help anybody.

I would hardly say that the recent exchange of posts which I think you're referring to is proof the LMT is "awash in toxicity". I agree it was unpleasant and embarrassing to read the various posts but I believe it is all behind us and those involved have learnt from it. I totally disagree that the natural conclusion is to admit defeat and shut down LMT as you suggest.

It will be a shame if you do decide to leave the LMT community after the two and a half years you have been with us but that is entirely up to you.

I hope my post demonstrates that this forum, at least, still provides a "rational space of discussion".

Thanks Nidostar for 1010. I've received a few 'FUN" CDs today and will convert and share them soon.
