A classic. Is this the original vinyl or the remixed version that came out in the early 2000's? Asking cause I have the remixed one already but don't have the original mix/vinyl version.

This is from the remastered CD released in 2014

Ok thanks...that would be the remixed version that I have already (originally released in early 2000's through Octopus library).

Huge thanks for the upgrade MusicLover73,  I've had this in lossy for ages and it's definitely one of the best Stelvio Cipriani soundtracks and from the others I've heard, this is the one most on a disco tip.
PL - You mention this is a "remix" of the original release - the CD just mentions 'digital restoration' and on Discogsnit just says that the Tracks 1 to 13, 21, 26 previously issued in 1979 on LP Polydor MPF 1234 but does not mention the tracks are remixes.

Does anyone know anything about the Stella/Private Records issue?

The Stella label looks interesting but sadly for me it's all vinyl, those Detto Mariano soundtracks are killers from what I've heard on YouTube!

Yea they never mentioned it was remixed on any of the reissues. I think them saying "digital restoration" may be them trying to say remixed but using the wrong term. The differentials in the mixes from the original LP and all 2000's CD's and digital releases are highly noticeable.

Always thought they were way too wet with reverb on the drum tracks, which takes away from the punch of the rhythm heard on the original LP. Also you can hear more instrumentation on the original LP which got buried in the re-issue mixes.

Thanks for the info PL, clearly "digital restoration" covers many sins!
As the CD contained many unreleased tracks, I presumed they had access to the master tapes and all the CD tracks would be faithful audio reproductions - I guess some people can't stop fiddling with sound once its digitised!
