Audio Fingerprinter help
« on: September 27, 2023, 09:26:42 PM »
Hello,

I am having some trouble with the Audio fingerprinter. I downloaded it recently as well as the python software.

I am having no success with the match feature. I am also getting two notifications. One is saying I need python. I have it but I am not sure how to open the fingerprinter with it. The other notification I am getting,
is a JavaScript error. Does anyone know how I can fix this or if that is what the problem is?
I have also downloaded the database I am looking for tracks in.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Assuming you're on Windows. This is what I did:

1. Download and install Python 3.10.2 (Later versions may work but I haven't tried them) https://www.python.org/downloads/windows/
Make sure that "Add Python to PATH" is checked when installing.

2. Download and install the latest version of audfprint-gui https://github.com/mitin001/audfprint-gui/releases/tag/v2.5.0 (If you have it installed already uninstall and reinstall it)

3. Download any fingerprint databases and import them to audfprint-gui
