Music Cues Used in Laserdisc Demonstrations
« on: August 13, 2023, 01:59:12 AM »
Hello, I was wondering what music was used in the Laserdisc demonstrations below.

The first one is the original 1978 Discovision demonstration, and a track of interest there is at 2:17-2:47.

The second video is a 1981 Australian demo, and the music of interest is at 2:32-5:41, at 5:41-6:40, and at 8:16-10:15.

If anyone knows these tracks, your response is appreciated.

As a US collector of Laserdiscs for a very long time, that easy listening tune from the Discovision demo disc i'm very familiar with and I too have been trying to ID that for god knows how many years. I think I even posted a clip of it myself at one of the very first versions of LMT.

The second Australian demo disc i've never seen before but took a listen and that's some good stuff! I'd like to know what those are now too. Also the one that starts at 6:40 on that one I wanna know too if anyone knows. I didn't expect that to turn into a lush orchestral disco jam a min or so into it  8] Also that vocal Disco tune at the very end is nice (whatever language it's in).

The closing song on the Australian one is in Japanese - which makes me think it might be a specially composed score, as the Japanese seemed to go more for custom scores than library stuff.

I was actually starting to think the same thing after posting my comments. And also am thinking that the Australian demo disc all around may be original music vs library.
