« on: May 17, 2023, 02:00:16 AM »
Hi,

We have a unidentified track at 00:40 seconds in, I have listended to hundreds of track from the 1971-1973 era but cannot for the life of me identify it.

Any hints would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Peter

Argh, I've definitely got this one but I can't place it - I'll wrack my brains!

The guitar chord sequence is not unlike that of Les Reed's Spanish Armada on FDH but it isn't that although it does sound more 60s than 70s style. Oddly the brass doesn't fit the guitar intro almost as if it was edited in afterwards.

It sounds so KPM to me but not triggering a Shazam so maybe it is another label like DW.  Very familiar!!!!

My brain is telling me it's possibly from Tilsley Orchestral No. 9 on de Wolfe - I'll check later, unless someone gets there first

Yes, it's 'Bite Back' by Reg Tilsley, from Tilsley Orchestral No. 9 - thank you, brain!

Yes, nice track.  Here's the LP as I'm here with 3 mins and happen to have my hard drive open in case anyone needs it.
