Jean-Louis Bucchi - Sunflower (1978)
« on: June 01, 2018, 10:52:24 PM »

I've played this a lot the last few weeks, and thought I might as well share it with you.

After his stint with the band Speed Limit, but before his library work with Koka Media in the mid-80's, keyboardist Jean-Louis Bucchi released this solo album, featuring 11 original compositions - some of which wouldn't be out of place on a contemporary library LP, I think. I think the LP offers an interesting look at Bucchi in a somewhat different era than his (lovely!) digital synth-heavy library work. I feel the title track hints at what's to come, though!
Among the great list of people playing on here, we find some library cats; Jannick Top (who was in Speed Limit too), Christian Guizien, Alex Perdigon and also Kako Bessot of Synthesis.

Enjoy! :)
