Not sure where to properly post this, but is the email notification system broke for everyone else?
For quite awhile now, I do not get any kind of email notification when I receive a PM, or am subscribed to a thread. I know it's not my email address because I know it's functioning.
I have the following enabled:
- √ Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email.
- Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.
- √ When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)
- For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me: Instantly - but only for the first unread reply
- For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me of: Replies and moderation

Doesn't work for me either. Not sure the cause or how to fix.

I try to use notifications sometimes, but it doesn't work for me either.

Well part of the problem is the LMT board seems to be running SMF v2.0.15, which is extremely out of date (released November 19, 2017). The current is v2.1.4 from Apr 20023.

Can any staff comment on potentially updating the board to a current version?

The board is working just fine for its purpose. No need to test fate.

I mean not getting alerts when a thread is replied to or when I've received a DM is kind of important. I don't frequent this place all the time and there's no way to know otherwise.
It wouldn't be testing fate if a simple duplicate/backup was made of the forum prior to an update. That allows it to easily be restored just in case.

Being 7 years behind on security fixes is also a way of testing fate.

Give it a rest.

Give it a rest.
Do you consider my comment to be non-factual or non-relevant?

I'm not singling out anyone's comment. I will simply repeat, "The board is working just fine for its purpose." That is to say, in other words, it will likely not be updated... so let's not beat the horse.
