I'm wondering if anyone can identify the songs @4:13, @11:08 & @14:20. The last two sound very familiar, so I might already have them. The film comes from 1970, if that helps. Thank you for any info.
-
The last track really sounds familiar, but I can't ID any of these. Sorry, ITK :(
-
Last one clearly a 'Spooky'/ 'Stormy' sound-a-like
-
11:08 is Syd Dale's 'Do The Hitchhike' --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Swkn0jGPXM --- that track was originally titled 'Hot Cargo', and came from the Sam Fox album SF 1016, circa 1966-67
-
Got another ID for you - the 'Spooky' track is from Sam Fox album SF 1021. It is titled 'Like Now!' by Joe Sherman. I uploaded a copy of the MP3 here --- https://www.sendspace.com/file/l1zoky

Thanks for the IDs, cesser. Now we just need those two missing Sam Fox LPs.
-
Thank you for the IDs cesser000 (maybe that first one is also on Sam Fox). I actually have both of those Sam Fox albums stackjackson (although 1016 is from a very crackley sounding vinyl).

Excellent! Thanks, ITK!

Thanks for the addition and for bringing up this documentary.
Also, regarding one sought after track discussed some time ago, it´s Steve Gray - Head Turner (1), from the Music House label, specifically from album MHS-6.
-
Thank you JMTeixeira. Emipm has it on MHS-5 "Jazz Sax". 'Head Turner' was on my want list. It was used in the Sporting News "Baseball in the 80s" VHS and I'm now down to six songs that I still have to find from that. Make that five, I just heard "Swanky" from that album and it's also on that VHS.

I was wondering if anyone has the complete tracklist of this documentary. I came up short so far. Thank you!

Hi guys, anyone? Not copyright marked, I believe. Thanks.
-
José - Dave Volsky here - I had some free time this morning and I identified all but one of the remaining unknowns from this film - none of them, of course, was used by NFL Films, so I didn't know any of them offhand, but I knew that at least a couple had to be Syd Dale, and I was right. As I suspected, ALL of the tracks used in this film came from the Sam Fox label. The only one that I couldn't find was the piece at 8:33, which is very short and very hard to make out. Don't think I had it among my Sam Fox rips
0:38 - Syd Dale 'Rapid Fire' --- Sam Fox SF 1015
2:58 - Syd Dale 'Status Cymbal' -- Sam Fox SF 1018
4:13 - Joe Sherman 'Satin Smooth' --- Sam Fox SF 1021
13:31 - Sten Clift 'Twist In Terror' --- Sam Fox SF 1019
15:31 - Johnny Hawksworth 'Escalation' --- Sam Fox SF 1023
18:05 - Syd Dale 'Status Cymbal' -- Sam Fox SF 1018
As for the still missing piece, I'd be SHOCKED if it wasn't from Sam Fox also. I checked albums SF 1015 through 1023. I do not have 1014 or 1024. I only have partials of 1012 and 1013. I did not check anything prior to 1012. Like I said though - very hard to make out and very short - not sure you could truly identify it even if you hear the piece on an album
-
Huge help, as always, thank you!!!
I´ll check if there are any available SF rips in the forum to pick up those missing tracks. And I think it´s safe to say we can close this one out. ;D
-
I uploaded just those 5 tracks for you here --- https://www.sendspace.com/file/ymym79
-
Thanks again Dave.
-
Thank you cesser for finding 'Satin Smooth', as identifying that song was the original reason I started this thread.
-
By the way, does anybody happen to have the track listings (even partial) for the Sam Fox label for SF 1003 and SF 1012 through 1015?
Alas, discogs and old ebay listings are coming up empty. I'm trying to find if they have any additional Philippe Parès tracks in particular.

I have partials of SF 1012 and 1013. I have the full albums of 1003 and 1015. Unfortunately I don't have any pics as to album info, but there is at least one Pares track on 1003, as he is listed in the title info on one of the tracks.
I uploaded all 4 records here -- https://www.sendspace.com/file/l36vm8

Thank you, nice share!
-
Many thanks for the files. Alas, that wasn't the Pares track I was looking for, though it fills a gap I had in an odd digital compilation album I have of him in which I've been trying to find the original source records.
