Title: More Capitol Hi-Q Rips - L, M, and D series
Post by: Certainly1080 on February 27, 2024, 05:12:55 AM
Got yet another batch of Hi-Q rips for ya, and in FLAC no less. The majority of these are from reel-to-reel like before with some exceptions that'll be noted. I’m fairly certain that a good chunk of this material hasn’t been downloadable until now or is at least pretty rare to find. For consistency, I’ve put everything in the same folder as my previous thread. Nearly all the new uploads will be in the L and M sections, so scroll down a bit after going to the Mega link to find them.

D-29/D-30, (Vinyl) - This is the first time that D-29 is available! Several of George Hormel’s D reels are still missing (D-31/32, D-34, and D-36), so I’m happy to share a long lost one. Hopefully the rest of them will turn up someday.
D-133/D-134, (Vinyl) - Should be a slight improvement in some respects over the existing mp3 rip. YMMV of course.

L-1/L-2, (Original, Bluestone/Cadkin) - L-1 is a reel rip, while L-2 is a reconstruction using CAS 03 from CPM Music. I apologize for the faux stereo effect on L-2; that's how the cues are on the CPM album.

L-213/L-214 - This is pretty much the same as MMSE-24 - Trends from Media Music, though the Hi-Q version contains two bonus tracks; Extensions and Outlines.

M-5, (Revised, Loose/Seely) - My copy arrived in the original Bluestone/Cadkin box, so a swap likely happened at some point.

I also see that L-201/L-202 came out in 1981.

Thanks for these, especially for M-73. "Mambo" on that reel was used once on the Ren and Stimpy Show.

Wonderful. Thanks so much.
I think I've heard a Quick Draw McGraw/Snooper and Blabber cue in D-29 I've been looking for.
