Got a bunch of Hi-Q reel rips to share! They’re mainly D tapes, but there are also quite a few X and S reels for good measure. The transfers were made using a TEAC 1230 and recorded through Audacity. 7 ½ IPS is the highest setting my deck supports, so I had to adjust the speed on the majority of them to get it right. Hopefully it's alright if they're mostly mp3 this time. I might provide FLAC files too, but they haven't been split into seperate tracks and still have the spoken intros and test tones.
Some of these reels haven’t previously been available for download. These have been denoted with bold text. I'm grouping them in pairs when applicable for convenience and because that's how the vinyl was issued.

It's always a great day when some never-before-shared Capitol shows up here. Thanks so much for sharing these. Especially D-107/108, which has some excellent jazz music that's remindful of similar offerings on KPM's library (although they're actually licensed from Raoul Kraushaar's Omar library). I've wanted to hear one of those MR-prefix albums for quite sometime, and it's nice to see this one delivered. I think some of these were also used in Sam Singer's "Courageous Cat" cartoons as well.
Fun fact about X-5/6: SF-58 was used in the Flintstones episode "Flintstone of Prinstone", a rare example of a Hi-Q track being used well after the studio phased out of them in favor of Hoyt Curtin's in-house tracking library.
Many thanks for X-7/8, too, a couple tracks from it were in Gumby.

Thank you Certainly1080!
Finally upgraded from the old version of D-17/D-18 that I had!
-
Brilliant, thanks a lot Certainly1080 great work. :)
Lossless yes please. ;D
-
Thanks! ;D

Thank you for the share @Certainly1080. You've clearly put a lot of work into this and it's much appreciated. It also means my having to properly catalogue the other Hi-"Q"'s I have to help me strike out any duplicates.
-
The amount of work this must have been... Hats off to you! And thank you!
-
Right on, Certainly! Most of those X-series are new ones for me. Thank you!

X-7 - You may be wondering why there are no names and merely cue IDs. Well, my copy doesn't contain the CB (Bluestone/Cadkin) cues shown on the box, nor is it Ib Glindemann's replacement reel. It seems to be a previously undocumented release consisting of TC tracks. William Loose almost certainly composed them given the cue codes, though I have no way to tell whether or not John Seely was also involved. The original reel might've gotten swapped with the reissue at some point. If someone knows what the proper titles are, that'd be much appreciated.
X-47/X-48 is identical to Sophisticated Jazz and Colourful Light Music from Sam Fox, though with an altered running order. Some songs on the Hi-Q version have different titles as well:
Forever Frantic = Muis for Mother
Club Cool = Night Club
Rock in the Rough = Riff Raff
Jazz Dramatic = Dramatic
Blue Sax = Acte
On another note, I made a list of reels that still aren't available, so I should post that in the general Hi-Q thread soon.

First I searched my Capitol Folders for the TC numbers and found the first track
Then I searched my Synchro Fox files and found a few more
Here's what I have found:
TC-41 Waltz (William Loose & John Seely) [Capitol Hi-Q L-001. 002 Comedy, Domestic, Movement] 1956
TC-45
TC-44
TC-43
TC-313 FM 103 B3 One Night Stand (Bill Loose-John Seely)
TC-314 FM 192 A1 Night Spot (Jack Belasco)
TC-311 FM 103 A2 Happy Shoes (Bill Loose-John Seely)
The other three sound Synchro Foxy to me but don't know.
Anyway Thank you so much for your Capitols!
Your pal,
Doug

Awesome, thanks!
-
Really surprised to see that the track "Agitato Mechanical" in this album wasn't the song heard in Ren & Stimpy. But otherwise, thanks a lot for the album.
-
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
-
This is tremendous. Thank you so much for your generosity.
There are a number of D-series cues used in Ruff and Reddy that I have not been able to find (they sound like Spencer Moore) so this gives me another place to hunt through.

Doug, those Hi-Q name changes! Grrrr.
Here's another example. On X-6, cue SF-60 is King Pin March (Lou De Francesco) that's in Synchro-Fox FM 172. When I was a kid, a local wrestling show used it.
SF-56 is Front Page Headlines (Lou De Francesco).
SF-58 is Hold 'Em March (Larry Simmons).
SF-59 is Forward to Victory (Lou De Francesco)
The others are familiar, too, but I don't have them in my collection that I can find.

I think I found out who the composers are on Capitol Hi-Q D-107, D-108 Dramatic Jazz A1-MR-400 Dramatic Jazz
I searched the prefix MR- in my Capitol Hi-Q folder
MR-473 MYSTERIOSO (Cadkin, Cookerly, Loose) popped up from Capitol Hi "Q" Dramatic Series Sampler Disc
So I conclude that the composers are
William Loose, Jack Cookerly & Emil Cadkin
Your pal,

Nice, thanks for the info! Out of curiosity, what else does that sampler have on it? I can't find that cue anywhere online, so perhaps it originates from one of the discontinued D reels.

Hi Certainly1080
I don't remember who uploaded the Capitol Hi-Q Dramatic sampler, but the track information can be found inside each track's metadata.
I put it in this temporary file bin. It expires in six days.

Hey Yowp,
I looked up Hank Simms & found "best known for narrating the opening credits of Quinn Martin TV shows, including The F.B.I., Barnaby Jones, Cannon and The Streets of San Francisco."
Good Call Yowp!

Thanks for the beautiful share Certainly1080.

I'm in the process of ripping some L and M reels I own, plus I have vinyl versions of D-29/D-30 and D-133/D-134 on the way. The majority of it's going to be stuff that's not on Soulseek at the moment.

I wanna give a heads up to those of you who want to tag your files correctly, but Philip Green is the composer for D-39/40, not George Hormel. I've already corrected the tags and folder name on Mega.
