Introducing new Library Music Series
« on: September 05, 2024, 10:22:32 PM »
Hello!

We are Guillermo & Sergio from 2 Headed Deer  , an independent record label founded in 2019 and based in Cantabria (Spain) . So far we have released music from artists such as Misha Panfilov, Organic Pulse Ensemble, Oiro Pena and many more . We are now releasing a Library Music Series inspired by the European library music golden age recorded in the 1960s or 1970s,  and influenced by the concept and visual aspect of labels such as Bruton, CAM, KPM, Music De Wolfe, etc.

"Crime" is the first volume  of these library music series and we have put together a track compilation focusing on this theme , recorded by the italian band "Larry Manteca"  between 2013 and 2023 and inspired by Polizieschi / Spaghetti Crime Film soundtracks , orbiting musical genres from West Coast jazz and inner-city funk to psychedelic and synth-infused sounds . Definitely one for the fans of Stelvio Cipriani, De Angelis brothers, Fidenco ,Piccioni, Umiliani  ,Bruno Nicolai , etc…

"Oceanography "  is the second volume, produced by german music artist Chris Stüllenberg aka "The New Library Sound" and deals with the topics of marine exploration, diving and many other underwater adventures. The New Library Sound features vast usage of analogue modular synthesis and combines it with  instrumentation like keys, mallets, chimes, different percussions and sampling. This recording is highly influenced by Jacques Cousteau's features „The Silent World & World Without Sun“, The Adventures of Tintin and Wes Anderson's „Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou“. It pays respect to classical music albums on the subject of water, like Sven Libaek's „Inner Space“, Walt Rockman's „Under Water“ or Les Baxter's „Jewels Of The Sea".
