US #32 (08-97).mp3 is Neo Dream (B) from Kosinus Virtual Nature. One of my favorite production music albums.
US #34 (08-97).mp3 could be another Kosinus or Atmosphere. 26, 28 and 35 sound very familiar. Most of them shout FirstCom but none that I immediately recognize. I would recommend searching their rock and sport albums.
-
US #06 also heard in the 1987 NBA film "Drive For Five", recapping the Los Angeles Lakers 86/87 season. No clue aside from the feeling that it might belong to a discontinued MT or UT Firstcom edition. :(
-
This is great guys keep it up! Please let me know if you can find any more!

Thanks, godzfire, for posting this thread, and for linking primetimemusic.net (https://www.primetimemusic.net).
Thanks, as well, to Retronator for ID'ing Neo Dream. I'm going to post an update on the site about it later today. Also, greetings to JMTeixeira, who I've interacted with many times on youtube.
Any help anyone can provide on identifying these songs is much appreciated.
-
Could you update the post with the latest ones please Godz? I do listen out for these as I go search for the wrestling tracks.
One track that I recognised but not sure if it was NFL was "Funky Future" from Tele Music (hxxps://app.bmgproductionmusic.nl/carrier/142127)
-
UPDATE 03/21: It was brought to my attention that the single preview links were not matching their proper songs. I have now corrected this, my apologies
All remaining songs to be ID'd are posted.
Here's 'The Drive For Five' LA Lakers video JMTeixeira spoke of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPL7ptoc1ss (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPL7ptoc1ss). In the 'Music in this video' section, it lists some, but not all of the production music used. I'm not sure where the song he referenced plays.
-
Thank you godzfire. It's heard starting in the 2:14 minute of the film.
-
I have just downloaded ATMOSCD 1 thanks to joakim95 and "Transmission" sounds very familiar, I am sure I have heard it for some NFL but I don't hear it in these recordings. It might be in those that JMTeixeira posted but I could not find a match but I am pretty sure I hear commentary when I listen to that track.

It's also on ATMOS 013 (LP) - Zaptrax. I downloaded that album a while ago, though I don't remember exactly where.

US #42 is "Liberation Day," by Paul Foss. Here's my link to the blog post: https://www.primetimemusic.net/2019/05/unknown-song-42-identified.html (https://www.primetimemusic.net/2019/05/unknown-song-42-identified.html)

What? Copyright claim didn't come until more than 6 months after the video was posted? Well, that'd be a first... and a hopeful for a lot of us.:)

I know, right. Every other copyright notice I've gotten (aside from maybe 1) came within a few minutes of the video's upload.
-
I heard another track that might have been used but I cannot find a rec for it. It sounds very familiar to me but isn't wrestling (it seems) so has to be one of the many NFL recordings I have heard "Funky Future" from Tele Music (TM 3081). Do let me know if you recognise it.

It wasn't used on Primetime, but it does sound vaguely familiar. It definitely sounds like the stuff NFL Films used in the '80s.

Yeah when I hear the track I can hear "right let's go" as the music starts and NFL football as it's being talked over.

Hi there,
I was going through some of my favorited tracks the other day and found this unexpected nugget:
US #28 (11-94):
It is from Pyramid Production Music Library (PYR702) Sports / Action: 48. Determination
You can preview this label here:
https://app.bmgproductionmusic.nl/labels/2714
For all you sports fans out there, you should consider skimming through here for more of your track IDs.
If someone could get access to their entire catalog in lossless format I would love a copy. The CDs are nearly impossible to find!
-
Here are the wav's from the site. I don't know how to check whether they're fresh rips or whether they're upsampled mp3s. Pyramid use to be part of TRF Music before moving to BMG.
https://mega.nz/#F!Qd4ljSxa!3_YqZj6EynM6W4D7cEXMsA
Edit: US 27 is "Racing To Victory" from the same album, I have uploaded the wav's for that too.
-
Thanks, Craig! I checked them in Audacity's spectogram viewer and they do cover the full 24k so they appear to be lossless to me. If it's possible it would be great to have all the albums in wav format. Also does anyone know the years on these?

Thanks for ID'ing this! I thought I'd checked this thread more recently than mid-August, but I guess not. I'll post an update on www.primetimemusic.net (http://www.primetimemusic.net) soon (hopefully tomorrow).

US #27 is also on PYR702 (Racing to Victory).

Sorry, I didn't see that line for some reason. I'll give you credit when I update the blog (hopefully later today).

Oh no it wasn't about giving credit, just to notify you.
The composers for "Racing To Victory" is Daniel Gary Schleifer & Mandy Rae Schleifer
The composers for "Determination" is Andrew P. Mark & Chris Michael Zurzolo
I would guess the CD came out in 1992/1993 as PYR702 was also used in World Championship Wrestling in 1994. PYR703 was used in May 1993, so they must be before then.

Well I knew I'd heard US #34 (08-97) before. It's from Music House MHI 26 - Power Drive
So glad I found it because it was bugging me since this thread was posted. I just didn't expect anything like this to be in that series.

Unknown Songs #55 and #56 (New Primetime) have now been identified. Thanks to Jwasc92Wrestling on YouTube for pointing these out.
*EDIT* - Unknown Songs #52, #53, and #54 have also been ID'd (also by Jwasc92Wrestling).
See the previous post for song info.
-
Jwasc92Wrestling also identified Unknown Song #51 (see above), so that finishes off all the New Primetime tracks I've posted thus far.
-
I recently posted Unknown Song #57 and it has already been identified (again by Jwasc92Wrestling). See the list a few posts above for details.
-
I've updated the main thread with all proper samples and information.
We've almost confirmed 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, and 17 are from the Musikos Sports CDs 1 and 2 and by William Soden. The problem is these CDs essentially no longer exist and can't be found.
Unknown Song 33 from 1997 most definitely can be found somewhere, just so far we've had no luck.
-
Unknown Songs #7 and #16 have now been identified thanks to Retromatic's posting of Musikos Sports 2. See my post on the previous page for more info.
-
Unknown Songs #7 and #16 have now been identified thanks to Retromatic's posting of Musikos Sports 2. See my post on the previous page for more info.
Sports 1 has now been procured, as well, and six more tracks have been identified (#8, #9, #10, #13, #14, #17).
-
And thanks to getting some previously unfound HFML CDs from ChunYinZi from the Chinese warehouse, we've now located the last unfound track of Primetime's original run
US 33:
Title: Android Highway
Album: Volume 15.2 - Wild City
Track #: 1
Label: Hollywood Film Music Library
Composer: Robert Walsh
Release Date: 1996
-
Updated with remaining New Primetime tracks. Will fill in remainder once we get samples.
-
Unknown Song #58, the non-highlight track from the Keyshawn Johnson segment of the 2021 NFC Championship, is "Here We Go" by Jeff Coates & Billy Handsome—it's contained on West One Music WOM 059.
Thanks to Jwasc92Wrestling (YouTube) for ID'ing this.
