Lately, I’m watching many old commercials made in Brazil (my country) during the 80’s. One curious thing I realize when I see them is that much of the soundtrack of the advertisements that were produced by the big national advertising agencies, such as DPZ and W/Brasil, originally came from the Tele Music label. I don’t know which is the reason these Brazilian advertisers decided to use many songs from this company. What I theorize is that this record company was the most accessible to the Brazilian audiovisual market, because, at that time, this catalog was distributed in the country by SIGEM, which was one of the largest music publishers in Brazil. What do you guys think about this subject?
