Purchase of records
« on: February 15, 2024, 12:09:22 PM »
I recently managed to purchase the album Chappell AV Series - Atmospheric - Sea/Water on Discogs.

But since I have a very low budget, I have only been able to afford to buy two albums from the library.

Does anyone know of a place to buy records that are shared around here that cost less than 50€?
LMT my safe place.

Discogs usually offers a few examples of records at various prices, and it's worth checking back from time to time.

Are you looking for records in particular from the Chappell AV series? Or just library records that are relatively cheap?

I have had a few from the AV series, these are on the cheaper side:

In the past I have bought library records from the website cdandlp.com. They have records from Cavendish, Chappell and various other libraries for sale for under €20. As an example at the moment they have some records from the Chappell Mood Music series selling for €10 + p&p. Vendors from around Europe sell on this site so you can narrow down your search to within your own country or selected countries. Payment is by PayPal so quite secure.

Generally there are records on Discogs that are at a very good price, but the problem is when they are around 100 € or 200 €, or even reach 1000 €. And not to mention when they are no longer in stock.

Nidostar, what you mention seems like a good alternative to me, it is cheaper and I also imagine that all the music libraries will be there, from Patchwork or Cavendish, to Octopus Records or Viaggio Attraverso i Problemi Dell'Uomo.

Imagine, would it be possible that on a site other than Discogs, an album like "Silvano Chimenti - Droga" that is valued at 3,191 €, could cost a maximum of 200 € on another site like the one you mention?

The only bad thing here is that if it is put at that price, I consider from my point of view that it would lose all value, due to its few copies, the use and time it has had, and also the artist.

In reality, there are too many things that make it so special to sell it for such a significant figure.
