A PLEASANT DISCOVERYHi everyone,
I bought this on a whim and found it to be very nice!
The music is somewhere between lounge, soundtracks, easy listening, orchestral disco
and library music, with nice (not annoying) wordless vocals and strings and brass.
It's all very smooth and pleasant, with a little discotension & drama here and there.
It seems these LPs were released as three separate albums initially,
and then put together and sold as a 3xLP set. Only original music, no covers.
The sides run in seamless sequences, so no point in separating the tracks.
There are fitting crossfades, sound effects and changes. (No medleys or such!)
I had never heard of the Spanish guy behind this project,
Albert Peter.
I think his real name was Alberto Nuņez Palacio. The more well-known
Manuel Gas is also involved.
In fact, I was wondering if Albert Peter could be an alias for Manuel Gas, but I don't think so.
Maybe this stuff is more well-known than I'm aware of, but I like to think of it as a neglected gem.
A couple of the tracks were also released on 7".
I think this music is saying like ABBA: "Take a chance on me!"
