Help!
« on: March 27, 2023, 01:47:07 AM »

Help! was a subsidiary of RCA founded by Gianni Dell'Orso around 1970.
A label mainly dedicated to rock, which released titles by such artists as Quella Vecchia Locanda and Procession.
At the same time they released some instrumental albums, listed here.

In 1986 at least three library records were released by GDM Music, without exlamation mark.

Nice find! Never knew of these three 1986 LPs.

Really digging the cover of "Bricolage":

What an odd setup. The Oberheim OB-8 synth is balanced on top of a Fender Rhodes piano. You may notice the case of the Rhodes is slightly curved, and a bit too small - so I'm guessing the Oberheim would probably be rocking a bit back and forth when played, haha.
An E-Mu Emulator II sampler can also be spotted in the back, and what I assume to be the composer himself is seated on a piano stool, complete with era-appropriate leather jacket. Wonderful stuff.

Help also had an Austrian branch, headed by Eddy Korsche - they didn't issue any library LPs, however, but may have distributed these.
Another "René Eiffel" LP appears on CGO.
