Happy to be here
« on: February 12, 2020, 04:16:56 PM »
Hello everyone.

Glad a friend mentioned this place. A lot to see and get.

Me? Been collecting Library and such for almost 20 years now. Started really finding stuff during the aught years and the explosion of Blogger. Also got in on the ground floor of Fraykerbreaks. Other great blogs from the time, A Pyrex Scholar, Cosmonaut XYZ, Dingoloom. The Golden age, if you will.

Most of my digital collection is mp3 so I am really happy to see a lot of FLAC files. I have a handful of original Bruton/KPM/Ampnonic/etc. albums, but more reissues andcomps.

Looking forward to sharing and learning.

Started collecting vinyl around 1998 in mostly small second hand stores, before the big vinyl explosion. Moved north of Seattle in 2001, and in 2002 found the Sonic Boom record store in Freemont. Looking through the racks and came across this album that looked really interesting and cool, but not knowing a single thing about it. Took a chance and here I am.

The album, my Patient Zero, was Cinemaphonic Volume 2.
