That's right, the same Japanese company famous for their synthesizers also produced a buyout music library.
Ladies and gentleman, I present to you 600 selections from the Roland Professional Music Library, also known as C Music and issued here as Music Base.
This set was released in 2002 but I know some of these tracks date back to as early as 1984.
Unfortunately these files were originally supplied as 128kbps mp3 files on CD-ROM so that's as good as it gets.
In any case, you're sure to find many surprises within this mixed bag of musical pleasures:

There are five volumes. The MP3 files should be in these directories:
Music Base - Vivid & Emotional Selection\MusicBase Vol11\auto.alb\._Sound_
Music Base - Vivid & Emotional Selection\MusicBase Vol12\auto.alb\._Sound_
Music Base - Vivid & Emotional Selection\MusicBase Vol13\auto.alb\._Sound_
Music Base - Vivid & Emotional Selection\MusicBase Vol14\auto.alb\._Sound_
Music Base - Vivid & Emotional Selection\MusicBase Vol15\auto.alb\._Sound_

Thanks for sharing this oddity - I must say I am quite impressed the .exe files still work!
