KPM Music Recorded Library (KPM International Series)
« on: May 04, 2018, 04:22:00 PM »
Series of releases under KPM Music Ltd., featuring international recordings.
Like the other LP releases on KPM, these seem to have been issued in various different sleeves (both green and red/yellow), and some were branded as under 'The KPM "1000" Series'.

As phrased on the releases themselves:
Quote
"KPM International Series"
This is a series of special 12", 33⅓ rpm long playing discs recorded in different parts of the world. The music is not necessarily peculiar [sic] to the country in which it has been recorded, but reflects the creative individuality of its sourse [sic]."

I've seen a reference on BBC paperwork to an INT 07, which appears to contain music by Syd Dale's group The New Elizabethans - the track 'Hampton Court' was used as the signature tune to the radio show 'Woman's Hour' for a time.  I've not seen any actual physical evidence of it yet though.

Nice, thanks for the info! It's fascinating how obscure some of these are.
