Title: [Nelson Records] G.L.P. 1007 and G.L.P. 1008 - I Marc 4 (1971)
Post by: Rocco on May 07, 2023, 06:19:15 PM
Hello everyone,

surely you already know very well this series on Nelson Records. Ten albums, one better than the other.

If anyone is interested, here are G.L.P. 1007 and G.L.P. 1008 ripped from the original vinyls.
My favourite tracks are "Suoni Distorti" from 1007 and "Indagine" from 1008.

Enjoy!

Ahh, fantastic.

Just a few days ago I was asking myself whether there exist genuine rips of those I Marc 4 Nelsons (and not just the well-known "reissues" fabricated from MP3 files).

Thanks a lot, Rocco!

Rocco!!!

These shares just make me so happy.

I wasn't expecting you to have vinyls of those Nelson, but as I said in the past already, you never cease to amaze me.

This series is very important to me, something like it's the base of my library music culture, and it's an honor to have the chance to get and listen to high quality rips of such great records.

Thanks a million for these two Rocco.
So much appreciated.

G. (a Rocco diehard fan!)

Rocco, you are a legend! Thank you so much for these vinyl rips, I can't thank you enough! It is such a shame that most of I Marc 4 digital releases are, unfortunately, transcodes... My favourite I Marc 4 album - G.L.P. 1006 - also suffers from this, as I have acquired a digital album from official I Marc 4 Bandcamp page (managed by Sonor Music Editions), and checked it with SoX spectrograms...

I kind of gave up on the idea of having a true lossless, high quality vinyl rip of the 1006 album. Vinyl prices are just unaffordable for me, and even if I had somehow bought the vinyl, I wouldn't be able to rip it because I don't have any (let alone - high quality) equipment to do it.

I even messaged a couple of Discogs' members who own that record, asking maybe they would be able to digitize it for a certain amount of money, or trade it for a couple of rare album vinyl rips that I have collected in the past - all to no avail.

Anyway, thanks again for these 1007 and 1008 rips, they are excellent!

Are the Sonor Music Editions just rip offs? I always assumed the repress/reissues were from a decent high quality source. Didn't think they were just pressed from MP3's...am I wrong to assume?
