Title: Really Cool 70s Track Draws a Blank. --FOUND!
Post by: Pegbars on July 10, 2019, 06:20:18 AM
This was used in a film advertisement in 1970.  The producer was known to have used De Wolfe and Capitol Hi-Q/Media Music libraries for certain, and I'm sure a few others.

Does anyone have this track in your collection?  It has been such a compelling sound to me for decades.

I only have this short snippet and have never heard the entire cut - ever... anywhere.

UPDATE!
I found this the other day, while going through tracks I downloaded back in July.  A 45-year search has ended!!

Appropriately enough, it is called, "Excitement Now" by David Carey.  Chappell CIS 5041

Man, that's a great little track there! Can't help you on its origin, though. Likely an American cue, although it doesn't sound like any US libraries I'm familiar with. This studio used some JW and Impress cues, too, but this definitely isn't from either of those.

Thanks for taking the time to listen.  And I appreciate the valued info!  This has really been a tricky one.  ;)

Thought I'd put this one out there again, in case any new members might recognize it.  :)
