Title: [Solved] 1997 Indianapolis 500 Starting Grid
Post by: JMTeixeira on November 29, 2018, 05:48:57 PM
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew which track is playing in the background, which was used in the starting grid video for 1997 Indy 500 as well as many other NBA films from 1996 and 1997.

This one also sounds like it might be from the same composer:

Thank you!

This sounds like FirstCom, I am sure I have heard it before. I'll do some checking

Edit: I have checked the FC-A's and don't hear it unfortunately.

Thanks Craig, please do if not too much to ask. I thought it might be from Chappell AV, but struck out so far.

Abraço!

Updated the original post and added a track that might be from the same composer.

That really helps as I'm 99% sure I have the second track. I'll log on my pc and do some searching.

Edit:
You're absolutely right with them both being by the same composer. The second track which I recognised is "Powerdrive" (as on the CD or "Power Drive" as on the website) from DWCD0166 - Indie, Rock & Grooves (1994) by Terry Devine-King.
The first track which you're after is "Hot Sweat 1" from the same album and composer.

I have ripped the tracks from my CD to FLAC for you:

Damn! Never would have guessed that these were De Wolfe tracks, although the guitar riffs sure did sound from the same artist.

Thank you again Craig!
